Super rude staff who was very hostile, and she had zero interest in helping customers. Even sighed loudly when I asked some questions about the pets on display. Her knowledge on the pets was also deplorable. Will not visit ever again.

Puppies are older than other pet shops and are overpriced

I went over to Pet Lover Holland Village to see puppies available. The staff wasn’t interested in assisting at all. The only time I could get anyone to come over was when I lifted iPhone at a puppy we are interested so I could show family (no flash, from outside the glass enclosure, did not tap or touch the window, did not even try to get puppy’s attention. Puppy faced away from my iPhone). A staff rushed over to stop me from taking a photo. She said photo-taking will stress out the dogs (even though I was pointing camera at the butt) told us to see photos on their website which are close-ups (strange their photographer wouldn’t stress dogs out?) She still didn’t provide any assistance in finding their dogs a suitable home. No “what kind of dog are you looking for? Who are your family members? Lifestyle? What kind of home environment?” Nothing. Just “you cannot take photos here”

Horrendously bad service. My sister and I went to Pick A Pet at Holland Village (Sunday 6pm) so I took a photo of my sister looking at the cats (because there were usually dogs and cats were a surprise) and I was chastised for that even though the animals weren't even the subject of the photo. The lady staff then aggressively pointed to the Pick A Pet QR code and told us to sign in which would be fine but she got frustrated with us because we didn't know there was a separate code to Pick A Pet when we showed her the Pet Lover's Centre signed in page. She then repeated "it's over there la just sign in over there" instead of communicating properly and guiding us with proper directions to the location of the code. So after we signed in we wanted to show her the code but she employed a very rude and passive aggressive tone, saying "you don't have to show me because I already saw you do it." We were actually interested and considered getting a cat but the mood for the entire trip was ruined because of her rudeness. Never come here if you are interested in buying a pet and want decent service.

Just got a cat from pick-a-pet and got superb service from Jasmine. She is knowledgeable about and loving towards the cats. She makes sure they are in a safe environment and upon obtaining the cat, she gave me very detailed guide of the cat’s schedule to make the transition smooth and safe. Because of her I am assured that I can give appropriate care for the kitten.
