I like the noodle texture but not the sauce and taste if it.
Nothing special to praise since many branches can be found all over the island.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ No frills wanton mee apparently started in Pontian JB, with many branches in Singapore. It's pretty tasty as the noodles n ingredients are coated with sauce but can be a tad too oily.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Pontian Mee is a Malaysian name that has several outlets in Singapore. The noodles is of hawker standard and is rather nice to eat al dente. The wantons and water dumplings are great whether in soup or deep fried.
During peak hours, the diner can get rather crowded. The system is such that you will need to order first before you can get a seat. However, the staff might not be the most friendly or conversant in making this clearly known. Perhaps putting up a simple sign would help.
There are not many seats in the cafe but it is good enough as the turnover of customers is quite quick. Expect to wait up to 20 minutes during peak hours.
