★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located at Hougang Avenue 3 in the Lorong Ah Soo locality. Very tight and cramped shop. Avoided going there though it is quite near where I reside due to the current Covic-19 heightened alert as the passenger traffic often jammed. The aisles are very narrow and the small outlet is often packed with foreign workers from the nearby dormitories. Only redeeming factor are the relatively cheaper groceries on offer.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A pretty small supermkt but you are able to get most of the daily essential necessities here. A bit cramp, making walking a little difficult at times when crowded. Prices are reasonable.
It is a 24 hr supermarket within hdb area, so it is very convenient to shop. Bus stops are within very short distances.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Small store, but organized and you get everything. Has a separate cutting section for fish/chicken (halal) and pork stall. If you are in hurry and grab few fruits or snack on the go, you can pay by cash at counter outside /around fruit section.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Unfortunately this wins by being the only supermarket in this vicinity. Don’t have much choice of items (soya sauce: only a few brands, margarine: only 3 types). Personally I don’t like to feel forced to make a decision based on limited options but that’s what it is for the convenience of location and 24 hours.
My go-to choices are the Tampines Giant or NTUC at Hougang 1
