★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I usually send my car for service in jb. It was the holidays so traffic was not good. Send to 'Proton' service centre real name TTS Eurocars.
After doing diagnosis on the car, i was qouted $1000 ($300 oxygen lower sensor, $300 oxygen upper sensor plus $300 purge valve).
This was ridiculously high so i told them i will not do the repairs. So they told me to pay $180 in diagnosis charge. Can you imagine charging $180 for plugging in the computer? I refused to pay and was told that is the standard rates. I felt this was unfair as I was not informed prior to the diagnosis.
Anyway after much dilly dallying, i was given the discounted rates of $60 plus gst. I proceed to make payment.
To make the story short, I went to Johor a few days later. I was charged lesser than 300rm for the repairs.
Imagine paying $100 in Johor Bahru and $1000 in Singapore. What a big difference. The workshop really needs to stop doing this to its customers.
