Horrible business ethics. On 6 April I brought 20 pcs garments to sell to REFASH n they accepted 5 pcs for $5. I donated the rest 15pcs after REFASH asked me to. Long story short, today I messaged them regarding the payout becoz I haven’t received any money yet. They replied n told me to wait ANOTHER FEW MORE MONTHS, when the contract stated 60days payout time fm the time I sold to them. Even though it’s only $5, it is business ethics n morals we are dealing with. On the contrary, why can’t they pay out on time no matter what amt ? They are not a charity organization. In my experience w REFASH so far, they always slam us with long replies like they have all the rights to do what they want. As their seller, I feel I’m treated with no respect n no right. REFASH’s reply to me was they have “ > 1000 sellers whom are also waiting for payout”. So they breach their 60days term n told me to wait “a few more months”? Sound like I’m being bullied. See attached photo. Looks like they don’t hv enough cash fund. But they accepted our clothes w the contract saying payout in 60days. In their reply to me they even blamed covid19 for breaching. They sell old clothes collected/donated locally, no shipping involved n theres only 1staff at each outlet. What covid effect?!? Shameless. I also tried calling them, no answer of course. N their WhatsApp reply- “We do not accept calls.” Do I feel cheated? You bet! Attached pic not too clear but it’s one of their senseless excuses in reply to me.
