โ โ โ โ โ I love curry puffs, and Rolina definitely has one of the better tasting ones in Singapore. I especially like the very thin crispy crust unlike the thick crust that you usually get elsewhere. And I like the unique spice of the fillings. Can use a little bit more chicken though. Sardine puff is just as good but really small.

โ โ โ โ โ Review for the month of September 2021....First time buying this curry puff stall...I find it overall average. Nothing wows me. Infact i am alittle disappointed that i specially travel down all the way.... Anyway ingredients is generally decent amount.

โ โ โ โ โ Bought one with the chicken and egg. $1.80 each is on the high side. Expect to have bigger chunk of chicken but what I taste is only potatoes. Size is small compared to the curry puffs I have eaten in the past. Find the curry puff average and will not come again. The stall owner is very polite though.

โ โ โ โ โ MICHELIN Guide Singapore Bib Gourmand listed Rolina offers a good Singapore Hainanese Curry Puff at $1.80 each. A little pricey for this little snack but we know how time consuming the process is.
Rolina started as a street push-cart vendor in Novena around the 1960s before relocating to Serangoon Gardens before settling at Tanjong Pagar Plaza.
Do you know that Curry Puffs are out interpretation of Portuguese empanadas when the 1st arrived in Malacca?

โ โ โ โ โ While one can get curry puff almost anywhere in Singapore, to get one that's close to ideal is not easy. More specifically, most failed at the covering pantry which tends to be thick, starchy, oily. In addition to this issue some curry flavor is on the light side. Rolina curry puff is close to my version of ideal and I simply wish if it can be more accessible to fellow food lovers, highly recommended ???

โ โ โ โ โ Was in the vicinity and had to buy these puffs home for myself and the family. Crust was buttery and thin, the potato fillings (with some chunks of chicken and slice of egg) had a spicy kick. Wouldโve been nice if the size of the puff couldโve been a little larger but I guess sometimes less is more. The owner recommended the glutinous rice, which iโd love to try someday!

โ โ โ โ โ Their curry puffs rather inconsistent. Not only the spiciness varies, also probably due to it is fully handmade and rather small in size, sometimes you get a good bite of chicken chunk in it but other times just some spicy potatoes mesh.
Instead I find their glutinous rice to be one of the best around. Wonder how they make such a plain looking dish so appetizing.

โ โ โ โ โ Love the curry puffs here. Thin and chewy pastry with strong curry flavored fillings, mostly potato, with a bite of chicken and slice of egg. I like the bite of it as itโs not flaky and less oily than other curry puffs around. The size is a bit small so I usually eat 2 at one go. The person manning the stall is polite and chatty. I usually buy enough to eat over 2 days and it still tastes good one day later. Of course itโs best to eat them hot as they usually make multiple fresh batches over the morning.
