★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Came twice to this restaurant in a span of 2 days! Halal, family-friendly chicken rice/noodle dishes. When I say family friendly, means your parents who love traditional food say thumbs up to the delicious rice and chilli sauce! Not too crowded on a Friday/ Saturday. Worth to try: yin yang chicken rice, soya sauce chicken rice, coffee panna cotta, mantou with chilli crab sauce and minced chicken beancurd. Beautiful restaurant decor too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good quality local chicken rice! The chicken meat is tender. The chilli sauce is the authentic gingerly type that matches any Hainanese chicken rice. The rice which is so fragrant and nice that you can just eat it on its own. Though it is pricey, ROOST chicken rice is definitely worth the value!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The food is pretty good! Especially the beancurd with minced chicken. The chilli for the chicken rice is superb. If you would like something interesting, try the tomyum kway teow.
Above all, the staff managing the floor was exceptional and extremely nice to us. He welcomed us even though we visited just before closing time and assured us that we could take our time enjoying our meal.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a family lunch. Chicken rice and laksa was good. Chilli crab sauce bun was kids favourite. However the beehoon was very salty and had to feedback to staff who is very friendly and assisted to change to kuey teow soup for us instead.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walking into a hot weather today, hungry, late lunch with my hubby..then saw this place called The Roost...and chicken rice it is for our late lunch...friendly and with a smile that is how the staffs here greet their customers,what a relief..food wise well you can check out my photos,it sure are all good and comforting..white or steam chicken is so moist and rice is so flavourful...if you happen to be in RWS, check out The Roost....their cold drinks are refreshingly good too that I finished it before I could take a photo..?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Staff service was good. Cosy small outlet with nice deco. Soya sauce chicken taste good and firm. Chilli condiment has great taste. Nonya chap chye was good except it lack tang hoon. Nonya laksa lack oomph taste of thick gravy. Durian creme brulee lack smooth texture.
