Nice food and ambience ! Went for tosai and prata supper. It's clean and has a kitchen that can be viewed through a glass panel. Will visit again!

Great place to eat authentic Indian Foods.Their Pepper Mutton is my favourite, yummy and tender. Awesome customer service by all the staffs, headed by Mr. Balaji! Value for money!

Not sure why their white rice is always without salt but maybe because it brings out the taste in the side dishes. Pepper mutton is always a must-have here. Their set meals are more value for money. Try to avoid lunchtime though. All races seem to like dining here.

A very conveniently located, value for money restaurant with a vast variety of dishes to chose from. We visited this place after many many years as our previous experience wasn't that great. Sakunthala's has surely renovated with bright and buzzy interior. It was fully packed on a Friday eve but due to ample seating space you don't have to wait to land a seat. We ordered Papadam basket, Idli set, Butter chicken, Daal Makhni, Tandoori roti, Biryani rice and Besan laddoo. Service was quick and food arrived within 5 mins or so. Portions were quite large and food was hot. Idlis were soft and accompanied with coconut chutney, tomato chutney and sambhar. Overall value for money at only SGD 3 ? Butter chicken was nice and rotis were fresh so no complaints. Daal Makhni was nowhere close to what it should be, seems chef didn't know at all what Daal makhni is. We didn't much expectations from Biryani rice but they turned out to be good and fragrant. Began laddoo as dessert was also good. One thing I liked, restaurant served water free, not so common these days in SG. An overly full filling meal for 3 costed us SGD 43 which is v economical. Overall a good option if you need decent food at affordable rates at a stone's throw away from Mustafa. PS: all the items we ordered were North Indian while Sakunthala is primarily a South Indian restaurant but surely we weren't disappointed. 15Jul2022: Visited the same outlet a second time. This time I tried South Indian Thali (Set meal). It comes with Rasam, papad, plain rice, Raita, potato subzi, a curry, bottle gourd subzi, Yoghurt and payasam as dessert. Very fulfilling meal at 9.6 SGD.

Superb lunch! Had fish briyani & mutton meals set. Amazing food. Great ambiance too…. Highly recommended ? affordable price . Will definitely visit again…

This outlet located very near to the well known 24-hours shopping mall have both indoor and outdoor sitting arrangements for its diners.
