Super friendly uncle who is helpful and very experienced. Changed tube due to a faulty valve. It was a delight to have my bike fixed here and uncle was unreserved in sharing his knowledge. I was a little sad to hear about the background stories about some recent bad reviews seen here on uncle's attitude, ranging from expecting free or cheap labor for bike servicing, to not comparing prices before buying then expecting a refund after finding a cheaper deal; all of which, conveniently left out of the reviews. To be honest, if you need help to service your bike, be ready to pay for labor regardless if your bike is new or if you are bringing your own stuff. No one should be expected to provide work/service/labor for anything less. If the price is not right for you, you can reject and look for elsewhere where the price works for you, but that doesn't constitute to uncle's arrogance or being unhelpful. Also to put things into perspective on return/refund demands, if today you buy toilet paper rolls from NTUC or Cold Storage but found the same or better brand cheaper in another shop, do you go back to NTUC / Cold Storage to ask for return and refund? No mah! You simply would just stop buying toilet paper from that supermarket or compare prices next time before buying lor. It is the responsibility of buyers to compare prices at different shops before getting things. If you want to save the trouble from comparing, then don't expect refund later mah. If you feel uncle's pricing is too ex for you, just don't get items from him next time lah. Giving unfair and bias ratings just because you don't get your unrealistic expectations is really mean, and you hurt an honest man's business. Yes, prices may differ or more expensive at different shops, but that doesn't make a business dishonest (unless it is exponentially priced say a $2 item is charged at $20, which the cited reviews weren't the case). Common business knowledge, Uncle may have also obtained his stock at a higher cost price due to the size of his business, thus his higher offered price point. So to be fair, one should own self compare prices at different shops if one really want to get the best deal. Personally, convenience and genuine service are the most important. And if I need something urgently and decide to forgo trying to get the best deal, I will not mark a person or business down after getting it to resolve my need quickly. Life is already hard, why make it harder for our small local businesses? Based on my personal experience having my bike fixed here just this afternoon, uncle deserve full 5 stars!

When I brought my bicycle there show him the noisy problem at my rear tyre, the uncle just saw, and said it would cost much BLA BLA bla...and decide not to inspect. Maybe he is fixing another high priced costumer bicycle at that time. Go home, I just figure out my bike rear tire wobble and the brake not tighten. Not big problem. I fix it my self.

Took my wife's bike there for gear shifting problem on 26/03/2022. This would be a long read but if you want genuine review, please read on. Upon reaching, uncle was changing tires for a vintage bike which comes with those rear stand fixed to the axle of the rear wheel. One that takes long time to fix. So I stood one side to wait for my turn while observing the uncle work on that bike without even telling uncle that I needed his help on my wife's bike. The whole process took about an hour plus due to the axle out of balance and needed some addition repairs. During the process, one man and another lady dropped by and directly went up to uncle to try and tell him what service they need for their bikes and uncle told them that they have to wait. The guy requested for full servicing which uncle replied him that he does not provide full servicing service and adviced the guy to bring his bike to another nearby shop which provides full servicing service. Then that guy went on to tell uncle that his bike's bakes needed some adjustments but after 5 minutes of waiting, the guy took his bike and went off. The lady who seems to be a regular customer, told uncle her bike's problem then left her bike there and went off. After uncle completed the tire replacement, he looked at me and asked me what help I needed as he noticed that I was already standing one side for an hour plus. Upon telling uncle my problem, he immediately helped to examine the bike. Before he started working, he told me that the rear wheel rim already distorted then told me his charges for the gear adjustment to see whether I am agreeable to proceed with repair. While doing the adjustments, he shared some maintenance knowledge with me and told me if I want to fix the distorted rim, he can help but I will have to go back another day as it will take him quite some time to do that plus he still has one more bike waiting for his repair. Uncle also advised the charges for fixing the distorted rim but at the same time told me that the rim problem might not be completely fixed for me to decide whether to have the rim fixed. Uncle also told me that his friends as well as some customers told him that he was being attacked online which based on the time of that posting, he guessed should be by one foreign worker who came with a group of his countrymen some time ago seeking his help to do something illegal which he refused. But his rejection lead to some other poor rating postings probably by the group of countrymen of that foreign worker who came with him that day. After some thinking, I decided to make this posting to let all who spent your time reading this post to make your own judgement whether this uncle is like what those poor rating postings claimed to be. I would also like to share my own thoughts that uncle is actually very experienced and skillful especially on vintage bikes which is becoming a lost skill these days. He is a one man show owner with reasonable charges. When he completed the adjustments, he told me to test the bike before even paying him. He even helped to tighten the front wheel and adjusted the brakes before handing the bike over to me. From this action, I can tell that he ensures the safety of the bike owners. Uncle may not provide good customer feel but he does what he do with passion and ensures every bike he repairs returned to owners as a safe ride. P.S. : Uncle even loaned me his pump to pump the rear tire of my wife's bike as it was a little under-pressured.

Friendly uncle. We needed his help to change the gears but he also detected something wrong with the brakes and fixed it too. He stated his charges early before working on it to see if we are agreeable. Very reasonably priced. Cracked jokes and shared his experience and difficulties repairing bicycles. He also said that he really tried his best and works honestly to gain God's mercy.

Uncle is very friendly and knowledgeable. Came to fix the gears for two bikes, and uncle advised us on how to maintain the bikes. The other bike couldn't be fixed cos uncle did not have the derailer shifter spare parts. But uncle helped to move the gear to centre at $15 for workmanship. The other bike had the wire replaced at $25. Not sure if how much it would have cost elsewhere but for the friendly service, and seeing uncle's passion for his work, feel happy to come here. Happy to also buy uncle coffee as he mentioned he does not eat lunch after heavy bfast. Good vibes here and like the kampong feel ?

Was here to get my tyre and disc brakes changed. It’s right inside the market next to car park/near to loading bay entrance of the market. The spares used are of good quality and very reasonable price as well. Uncle is quite knowledgeable and friendly and suggested the repairs that were only necessary to be done. No unwanted suggestions or irresponsible pricing. He will even change minor parts free of charge. Overall recommended.
