San Pin Pao Fan (三品泡饭)

Great bowl of seafood pao fan. Got to dapao as too crowded at the coffee shop. Surprising well packed with separated rice, soup and toasted rice bits. Delicious soup with fresh ingredients, though portion is a bit small for big eaters. Ordered the salted egg skins as well and is a great side dish with the pao fan. Will certainly come back to try their other offerings.

Chance upon this stall selling 泡饭 the other time when i was here to try Ipoh Tuck Kee son. Came here this afternoon to try their food as I read and heard a lot about their food. Understand they have a few branches in Singapore. I came here in the late afternoon, and there wasn't any queue. The cheapest bowl of 泡饭 starts from SGD$6 onwards. They have quite a few types of 泡饭 to chose from. I ordered their mixed seafood 泡饭 which was SGD$7. Apart from that, they have a few other side dishes like fried luncheon meat. Food was pipping hot when served. My bowl of 泡饭 comes with both fried and normal fish, prawns and clams, seafood was fresh. Broth was okay for me, could be richer in taste. I love how they garnish with crispy rice bits and fried egg, giving the dish another dimension on the texture. The tangy chili is also something worth mentioning about.

I wouldn't even rate this as average! Soup no umami. Ordered extra soup... charged me $4!!! for HALF ⁰a packet of plain soup with ⁰NOTHING in it!! Who wrote all those fantastic positive reviews before? Standard has definitely dropped. Don't waste your time! Honestly...

From sliced fish,la la,mixed seafood ,there are 6 varieties of broth to pick from,soup base is good ,I think it has enough flavor to compliment the rice. Home made chili is tangy & not spicy,the use of the crispy rice & fried egg floss paired up well with the pao fan, prices are reasonable , taste is great!

After reading that San Pin Pao Fan was founded by ex-Jumbo chef I have been longing to try it out. I tried their mixed pao fan and fried fish pao fan. The seafood was fresh soup tasted nice. However, I personally preferred slightly thicker broth.

Seafood Soup Pao Fan. Are we finally seeing enough Pao Fan stall opening? This brand is probably the bigger chain against King of Pao Fan. This outlet is supposed to be one of the first few stalls and while its decent, its not memorable though.

All the Seafood Pao Fan broth base, and ingredients such as lala, egg floss, bittergourd and crispy rice puff are the same. My Pao Fan arrived in an orange-hue broth with every single rice grain and the fried egg floss soaking up the full-bodied sweet umami-rich seafood broth well. I also enjoy the crunch from the crispy rice puffs which gives contrast in texture, offering another dimension to the dish. What I ordered, Mixed Seafood Soup Pao Fan. With 2 big fresh crunchy Prawns, Slice Fish and Fried Fish. Mixed Sliced Fish with Seafood Soup Pao Fan. With both fried and sliced fish. Both Mixed Seafood Soup Pao Fan & Mixed Sliced Fish with Seafood Soup Pao Fan, the slice fish is thick and tender fresh while the fried fish retained their crisp despite being drenched in the umami-rich broth. Iberico Sliced Pork Pao Fan. With generous amount of Iberico Sliced Pork. They were thinly sliced and each piece had a satisfying layer of fats on it. Potato Cheese Stick. Each Potato Cheese Stick fried to perfect golden brown. I liked the crispy crunchiness of the outer layer and is not oily at all. Come with mayonnaise sauce which gave that extra tangy taste. Fried Mid Joint Wings. The wings is fried to glorious crispy, golden brown. The meat is juicy and well-seasoned. Dip with their punchy chilli sauce help further elevate this dish. If you are looking for A seafood and hearty broth you are in the right place . Ordered the fried n sliced fish , sliced fish n fried chicken wings. Totally satisfied and I did not feel it’s loaded with MSG. The soup tasted combo of seafood, clams and fish, packed with umami. The Chili for the seafood is amazing n complementary . Pls maintain your standard , love the food :)
