Once applied, the surface is shiny and reduces the squeaky friction between two metals. It is certainly the most handy DIY lubricant for all home hinges.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I love how versatile this Selleys RP7 Multi Purpose Lubricant spray is. It really help solve the squeaky noises from my main gate hinges. It is also a penetrating spray which displaces water and inhibits corrosion. Therefore I also manage to to loosen some rusty bolts from my car. Because it will not adversely affect rubber, paintwork or most plastics thus it's quite safe to use it widely.
