Not bad but nothing much to rave. the token system may not really work if i have a seat far away. Self service. Noodles too broken.

It's probably a 3.5 stars. The taste is a little mild blend for my personal preference, while the saltiness from the chili quite make up for it. It may taste better if the prawn broth is thicker.

A new favorite - am a new fan! Don't let the saucy wetness fool you, every mouthful has some of that wonderful 'wok hey' charred after-taste and portion is decent.

Everyone has their own interpretation of their best version of this classic hawker dish. My personal top no 1 fav is from Whampoa Market. Even though i love that stall in Whampoa, i seldom eat it because the staff is unfriendly and stingy over sparing more chilli. I finally find a better version of my fav in this "Serangoon Garden Fried Hokkein Prawn Noodles" located at Redhill. They are very nice stall owner / staff. Decent portion, great chill, fresh ingredient and good spread. I can't find anything worse than my previous favourite. Recommend everyone to try my fav version of the hokkien mee.

Update for the month of July 2021 Well this time round ordered a $5 and dine at the food centre. It was watery. The taste wasn't as good as last year 2020. Abit disappointed. 2020 Try it again Yesterday. Very nice taste and smell. Chili is good. But long Q. Unless you avoid lunch or dinner hours. Overall very delicious.

It’s really quite meh, maybe the first few plates of each batch are edible. But as they soak the remaining portion in the stock, it actually increases the char (and that is not the same as wokhei). The burnt taste is real. Luckily the Chili (coupled with lime) is spicy enough to cover the chaoda taste

Wah lao.... Their deep fried lard is from heaven. Totally sinful, pure cholesterol but absolutely necessary. Coupled with their rich stock, voilà.... A plate of sibei hochiak (yummy x 88) Hokkien Mee. Oh yes, owner isn't stingy with the portion. This puts many so-called half-past-six hokkien mee hawkers to shame.

visually delightful fried noodles with wok hei. sambal packed a punch though watery in nature. price portion ration is good. somehow feel lack infusion between soup base abd ingriedents to noodles at time of visit.
