The service really sucks. I paid $20 to top up in mid June. I saw tge staff recorded on the note book. On 12 July I received a sms from TPG that my top up failed. I was surprised aand when I was ny account balance, it was zero. Basically thr staff didn't do a top up for me. I went tothe shop on the same day and enquired why was there no top up. The staff first told me that it was in June, how could they check niw? . It was so long ago. He kep saying that i should have check my top up on that day. Basically what he was saying was tough luck. It's your fault for not checking. For the record, i went there to collect the sum card and make the payment. How could I have been able to check?? Anyway I pointed out that there is a record book that he could check. He again the ranted the same thing without doing anything. He kept saying they have many part time staffs etc. Whether part time staff or not I wouldn't have known and i told him it's not my problem. I gave my money to the company and expect that service to be rendered. In this case the top up, which didn't happen. Anyway I requested to look at the record. I pointed to him the entry. He then looked at the record and started checking. In the meanwhile, one thuggish employee in shorts came and said if I was not happy i could leave. What?? Why should I? Amazingly. After checking the records, the payment was finally uodated. Question, was it my problem that the amount was not update? That there were many part time staff? The key issue is when it was brought onto them that no update was done, the first service rendered should be to check their records instead of blaming the customer not check the same day and that there were many part time staff etc etc. You have to ask yourself whether you want to put yourself through this ordeal whenbthey failed in delivering their basic service and courtesy.

Recently bought TPG 100GB connection for 10$. This is a postpaid sim, means you have to top up the account before next month in order to keep the connection active. otherwise they will disconnect the sim at the end of billing cycle. Unfortunately signal strength is extremely poor in most of the places close to Kembangan area. Connection speed is mostly ~5-10 Mbps all the time. This is not good enough for working from home or video conferencing/Netflix. I wish they have some sort of map which shows the signal strength. Shopkeepers are friendly and helpful.
