We came by this chwee kueh store by chance at Toa Payoh. This may be one of the nicest chwee kueh we have eaten. We also tried the chwee kueh at Toa Payoh Central which was not as good. We live in the east and also had the Bedok interchange hawker chwee kueh quite often and it is already quite okay. But the chwee kueh at this store is, in our opinion, even nicer. The chwee kueh is super soft, not oily and bouncy. The preserved cai pau taste fresh and it’s just a perfect combination of sweet and savoury. Plus, it is super affordable at around 40 cents per piece. They make the chwee kueh fresh on the spot and you can really taste the difference. It’s really worth the visit if you are ever looking for good quality chwee kueh in Singapore. Highly recommend and hope more people will come to know of this place!
