β β β β β It's simple and no frills, but it's darn good, and reasonably priced too! In my family's opinion, it's one of the best around, and each time, we crave curry rice, this is our goto place. The dish that takes the cake for us is the one pictured here. Fried chicken. Step aside, KFC. You have a serious contender here:)

β β β β β Have been coming to this spot quite frequently these days.
I think itβs a one-stop shop with porridge, curry rice and desserts.
The food is homely and certainly tasted like my childhood, particularly the porridge (missed my mumβs cooking!!).
Runs like a family coffeeshop whereby they will bring the food to your table for 3 stalls. They are actually quite friendly whenever Iβm there though.

Porridge: not the usual thick gooey congee but slightly watery and grainy, it has this old school homely feel.
Desserts: go for the cheng teng & aiyu jelly
Curry rice: my favourites would be cabbage, braised potato chunks, steamed meatball & otah. Not your usual thick gravy, slightly diluted but equally tasty & fragrant

β β β β β An very average curry rice store that is almost pack daily with people queuing . The only plus point is it open till late on the strech of food late night food street. Patron be vigilant of what you order , otherwise the price may surprise you. My last visit landed me with a 10.30 SGD price tag just because I took a piece of otah (spiced fish paste cake). I believe that extra otah probably cost me six buck . Overall it's a random unremarkable curry rice stall that survives many years in this premise .

β β β β β Many come here for the curry rice. Judging by the queue, it is obvious the curry rice is delicious. However, i would like to mention that this small porridge stall located within serves excellent porridge! Although the meat and fillings are not too huge, the porridge is always cook to perfection! Please give it a try too! Awesome!

Probably this will be my last time there after today.
Been patronizing the curry rice for years and was taken surprise by today incident.
I ordered 6 dishes and 2 plates of rice for sharing.
As I have 3 persons eating and I asked for an extra empty plate so that we can share the rice.
The auntie refuse to give me the extra plate.
Citing that if every one is like me asked for extra plate then how?
I asked her how are we going to eat as we have 3 persons.
I offered to pay for the plate and she still refused.
She said she don't want to charge me for the empty plate.
Then I asked again how?
Eventually she asked me to order another plate of rice for 70Β’
In the end a plate of extra rice is wasted.

β β β β β Authentic Old School Pork Congee and Salted Mustard Soup is full of flavour. Repeatedly visit this place and quality is always maintained. Good place for dinner if you want something light.

β β β β β Very decent Hainanese rice stall - one of the best you can find around Kovan/Hougang/Serangoon. Pork chop, chicken wings and fried egg are their specialties. Portion is just nice. Queue will start to get long around 6pm onwards but it moves pretty quick. Price is reasonable. Paid around $4.50 for one meat and 2 veg with additional rice. Dishes are not too salty as well. Limited parallel parking lots available along the road here. Will recommend taking a train down to Kovan and walk over (5mins approx) instead or park at the nearby Kovan Hawker Carpark and walk over.
