Really the one of the worst reonovation contractor. The project is delayed. the workmanship is one of the worst i have seen. The boss is lofty once project start. keep out at all cost

Worst experience with a contractor. Poor workmanship, project delay, wrong measurements, poor carpentry fit and finish. Lofy attitude once project start going wrong. Biggest regret working with Singapore Carpentry and Ernest.

I would strongly recommend Singapore Carpentry if you can accept: 1. Delayed response to your messages (1-2 days) before construction. 2. Low quotation during initial discussion but with significant top-up during construction. Items in the quotation might not reflect what you have in the finalised drawing. You end up paying more for those missed items. 3. Poor time management. Can’t even work out a time schedule on when the workers will be at site. 4. Yourself as project manager as no one will be on site to supervise the workers. Not even single visit from Ernest during construction. 5. Drawings and measurements are based on site visits. Drawings are not detailed enough and so during construction there ought to have hiccups - this and that cannot be done etc. Best of all, no solutions / suggestions were provided. You have to resolve it on your own. 6. Fanciful 3D photos on FB and IG. Might not be real clients.

My husband and i engaged singapore carpentry for the purpose of doing partial renovation of my landed home, such as our guest bedroom , dry kitchen and av room. we got assistance from their designer Ernest in curating different furnishing options, he gave us an honest review in terms of evaluating the pros and cons of various fixtures we requested, and ultimately provided enough space for us to make our own design decisions. we were looking for a toned down, not garish type of luxury and modern design and Ernest was able to propose to us such designs while providing lots of savings as he quoted below our budget compared to a few other companies we met with, that had quoted over the budget we had in mind. Initially we didn’t have much ideas for the lighting design, but we did wanted to get the flexibility of different ambience relevant to the use of different rooms, (av room compared to bedroom). However, after careful consideration and with Ernest’s expertise, he was able to propose detailed lighting design, Singapore carpentry even provided customized lighting fixture design which we were pleasantly surprised with the outcome, as it was very nicely melded with our carpentry fixtures, providing a great sense of modern homely ambience. There were also additional costs due to the additional works that my husband requested, however the pricing was still very reasonable and did not break the bank, ernest also specially threw in a few freebies to ensure that the final renovation results after handover were top tier. Overall a good experience working with Ernest from signapore carpentry and would recommend to friends if renovations are is required.

Ernest is an experienced, responsible, and patient ID, as it was our first time rebuilding a landed property home, he managed to help us to understand the overall process and also showed us various works that he had done based on our preliminary description of what we want. He also provided some great sketches that really showed he understood what we wanted for the interior as well as overall exterior structure look of our home. Ernest also followed up very promptly with us when providing a proposal and quote. During the rebuild process, Kaden managed the project, he handled the renovation flaws professionally and managed to get issues cleared up by their team before we moved in. His follow-up skill is very impressive. We understand that there was some initial delay due to the high influx of enquiries they had received. Workmanship was generally quite good, although was there was a minor issue at the start due to mismeasurement of a cabinet door, but Kaden was very responsible and acted to help rectify the problem quite efficiently. Plumbing, electric wiring, were done quite smoothly without a hitch as well. Communication was quite smooth, although it usually took 1-2 working days for a response, we were added to a whatsapp group that was updated with the process, and any queries we had were responded to well, we also had some changes to the designs, but they were attended to and their team also provided great advice when it came to the interior design of our home. Great job Kaden & Ernest!

For the renovation of our office, we had a pretty tight timeline and Ernest tried his best to set expectations with us, he was also open to feedback to change the designs to accommodate our requirements.
