SL II Muffin

Their egg tarts are v different and unique! The crust is like biscuit where they bake the crust before putting in the filling. The filling is sort of soy bean taste I think there's egg taste too its jiggly. I bought this for many of my friends before and everybody loves it! They also sell coconut muffins and other things which I haven't tried before but friends who tried before say they're nice too. The egg tarts are nicest when it's hot because the biscuit will be less crispy if you keep it for a whole day but it will still taste nice don't worry

Couldn’t agree more with JS Loh. Their bakes are a decent one if you need a pastry fix with reasonably price and above average of general bakery shops. The crust are flaky and both tarts are not too sweet. The eggs filing makes me feels like having the soy bean pudding which is soft and silky. The coconut filing is nice too. The muffin texture are slightly to drier version compared with “C&S” brand, but it’s still acceptable. It could be better if the muffin is not only topped with chocolate chips but inside also have some chocolate chips. I would come back for their tarts. PS pardon me on some reviews of the stall staff attitude. Just try to put yourself on the shoes of them, if you were in front of the oven all the time and some impatient customers are make a lot of ad hoc requests, what’s your feeling? I did seeing them open and close the oven regularly (like 2-3 minutes) to change the tray position of the tarts and maybe it is this process that makes the crust nicer. Just be patient and be kind to people. We are all decent people and they are just tying to make a living only. If you want nicer attitude, just hope by to any nearest cafe with another batch of staff strength (other than kitchen staff) to serve you with their big smiles and change higher price. Make your choice.

Friendly store owner, very courteous. Tried the egg and coconut tart. Despite being a stand out from your typical egg tart, overall the texture was not to my liking. Coconut tart was decent, filling was flavourful and surprisingly not too sweet! Both share a common good point which is a very good flaky crust. I would assume made from cracker biscuit. Overall still a decent buy if you’re just buying it to satisfy your craving. Would come back again to try the muffins tho. Didn’t have any stomach left ??? p.s check out my pictures for more info

Tried the egg tart ($1.20). While the curd is soft, it’s not flavourful and the tart is too thick. Overall pretty average.

Was here on a weekday during lunchtime and the egg tarts and coconut tarts were all sold out! A pity. Only got to try the muffins which were hot out of the oven and very fresh. I got all 4 flavours - chocolate chip, banana, walnut and blueberry at $1.50 each. Nice crusty top with just the right moisture within. Only thing I would have preferred is for the chocolate chip and walnut muffins to have some filling within, apart from just the surface. Will be back to try the tarts next time.

Will usually buy from Tampines outlet, but the quality not so consistent there. Love the cookie like buttery crust with jiggly filling ??? it’s so good that I can finish a box of 6 at one go after dinner and still want more ?? find their muffin soso.

Yummy and affordable muffins! Highly recommend their Banana Walnut and Apple Cinnamon muffins. Will come back for more!
