Best Hong Kong style fast food restaurant in Singapore

F	Flo G on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is the latest outlet for So Good Cha Chan Teng. Despite the low ratings at every outlet, our experience has always been So Good. Only gripe this weekend visit like others who came before 9am, we all thought opening hours are 8am. Regardless we are here early for the breakfast sets which are such good value. There are also tea time sets and other offers periodically. We have tried the Somerset outlet and the food quality and service is consistent here too. Our usual order is the Chee Cheong fun / carrot cake & century egg porridge set and the crispy bun with condensed milk and they are always good. Pan- fried carrot cake has chunks of radish, so yummy. Not forgetting to get their chilli oil as it enhances all your dim sum flavours. Hong Kong milk tea (cold )is best as that really brings us back to Hongkong. Roast pork with mustard was nice too. Egg scrambled fried hor fun with prawn had the nice wok hey. Porridge had crispy you tiao, light taste, and big century egg pieces. French toast, very nice. Fluffy, some crispy ends, yummy. Sunday lunch, queued for 1 hour ? still pretty worth it.

So many items sold out when it’s only 1130am, serving of food was like one by one and have to keep going back to the collection counter like a total of 4 times for one noodle, one congee, two dim sum and two drinks. As the place is quite small with limited seating, the wait staff were very stressed to ensure patrons leave within 45mins! And they kept saying oh it’s fast food mah. Sigh.

Fried rice got standard , good wok hei. Everyone seated in booth of 4 -6 for most seat. Very Covid safe technically as plastic partitions are installed between booths. This food chain run out of food selection real fast. Come early if you do not want to miss out your favourite dishes .
