I have thyroid eye disease and it causes my eyes to bulge and protrude. Prior to my consultation with Dr Chuah, I have seen quite a number of doctors and was usually prescribed with eye drops and ointments with no solution. Dr Chuah was a specialist referred by my original eye specialist. Dr Chuah understands my issue from inside out. I was amazed that he doesn’t just propose multiple ways on how to deal with the condition, but he truly understands that my quality of life has been greatly affected. Having seen many doctors for this condition, he was the only one who took great deal of time in explaining and took photos of my eyes during 1st visit. It shows that he is very meticulous, determined and committed in solving the issue even at the very 1st visit. Hence, I trusted him on the treatment and the subsequent eyelid surgery. In his clinic, you are not just a patient or a case, Dr Chuah and his staff in the clinic treat his patients like family. During my unfortunate ordeal in serving quarantine order, they took the effort to wish me well and check on me frequently during that period, more frequently than MOH had checked on me. I feel blessed and grateful to be taken care of by them. Special mention to May (front desk) who helped me a lot on the claims, all the appointments booking and my panic queries through whatsapp and phone calls. :) Thank you Dr Chuah & staff!

A doctor’s responsibility is to examine what is happening with the patients and explain the situation and options on the ways to fix the problem. But before he even do anything, the moment we step into the room, he asked what’s our occupation(when i say which company i work at, he still asked me what’s my role) , our age , what our parents occupation is and he even asked me to take out my IC(i’m not the patient btw) . All along he did not talk nicely to us also. He thinks that we would not be able to afford the operation. When we said we will do operation if it is the best option, he shouted “eh hello you know how much operation cost anot! you have to pay me, pay other fees and stuff”. He even recorded our conversation and even take 2 full portrait photos of the patient. Supposedly “for working purposes” but if it’s for work, why need to take full face? He could just take the picture of the eye but he even asked to take off the mask. And at the end of the conversation, I asked if the operation could wait a little while or need to schedule immediately, he asked if we are going to buy insurance and that would be cheating. But we just asked cause our time is packed and need to find some time to do operation and isn’t that a question what everyone who needs to schedule an operation will ask? So people, please don’t go there or any clinic Dr Chuah Chin Tek sit.

Dr. Chua is an excellent Specialist, very kind, professional and detailed. My operation was a success. The staff are also very efficient. The consultation was long but very thorough. Operation was scheduled very quickly and my problem nipped. Thank you so much. Am really grateful for the time and effort taken.

Dr Chuah is a meticulous and caring doctor. I was referred to him because of a huge eyelid abscess and had a successful surgery to remove it. Throughout the process, Dr Chuah took the time to thoroughly explain the procedures and risks to me. May (front desk staff) was also amazing and very helpful in following up and helping me with the process for insurance claims.

I have been seeing Dr Chuah for many years now. I was first referred to him by my dermatologist when both my eyes burnt hot like 2 balls of fire and I teared continually. I struggled to see.. Through the constant follow up and under Dr Chuah's care, I recovered. Dr Chuah has been more than a doctor to me. End of 2019, I was retrenched and could not afford such specialist care. But he continued to take care of me charging me at a minimal rate and still run all the tests as my eyes needed constant eye care. Dr Chuah is a rare doctor who cares deeply about his patients. Earlier this year, I was diagnosed with a terminal disease and that very day I received the bad news was also the day I had my regular follow up at Dr Chuah's. He offered to look at my reports and immediately reassured me not to worry. He said to himself.. "what would I do if you are my sister" and took actions to contact his ex-classmates to get me the top specialist in my area of need for a second opinion. He personally called her over the weekend as it was then late Friday evening. On Monday, I got to see Dr Ho through the backdoor. Which doctor would do that? I am deeply grateful to have a doctor like Dr Chuah. Highly highly recommended. He is not just skillful, knowledgeable but a doctor who deeply cares for his patients. Thank you Dr Chuah and all at the clinic esp May who extends beyond her duty as a clinic staff to reach out to me with all the admin stuff, empathy and every help and care. Just an amazing team! Completed my ptosis Eyelid Surgery with Dr Chuah. *Highly Recommened* Dr Chuah is very knowledgeable and very professional. i didnt feel scared doing the surgery with him and i decided to proceed with the surgery with him immediately after the consultation. Prior to this, i have been to other clinics but the consultation with Dr Chuah was most insightful and gives me the most confidence. During the surgery, he was very patient and a calming presence. The Surgery went well and i am very satisfied with the outcome. need to do several follow ups weekly but the process is smooth. Thank you for your front desk staffs as well. Especially May! Kind and genuinely cares for the patients. People that has been there would definitely know her. They are always busy but always smiling. :) Gives u a peace a mind when you visit this clinic.
