Worst bank ever. They should have their banking license revoked for lying and impersonating the authorities to their customers. The customer service made me go all around to check on my account, including having to go to the authorities. In the end, whatever they said, were pure lies. When I pointed it out to them, they finally said after weeks of delay that they would revert the status of my account. However, that is another lie that made me go through the same process all over again.

Rude and ineffective front desk! 1) Officers have poor knowledge on the product and service they are suppose to offer. They either scratch their heads, call someone and/or provide incomplete or wrong information. 2) The front desk does not have time or patience to even listen to the requirement in full and then advice. 2) Most of the officers does not look into face and engage in conversation. 2) I went for a service and they sent me back saying i should do it online. When i checked online, there is no such option for that particular service of interest. I had to call the phone banking personal to find that it is suppose to be done at the outlets. 3) All their outlets including NEX outlet, are filled with salesmen who will swarm you for personal loan and credit cards applications. They are least bothered on why you actually went for. 4) I am still a SCB customer only because of their functional and helpful phone banking system.

Went to the bank to add my name to a Joint account with my mum. Was received politely by the front desk lady but was not explained on the procedures they will be doing. The lady merely asked for our I/C and passed to another lady. When I asked the front desk lady if it was possible to check on the status because we weren’t even sure what we were waiting for, she replied saying that these should have been done online due to the current situation at Covid-19 and that they are required to check with their RM. I told her that what we need to do requires the physical I/C and her reasoning does not explain nor answer my request to her checking on our status. Couple of minutes later, the lady whom took our I/C waved at us and did not indicate anything else. No calling of names nor addressing us in any manner. She merely used hand gestures and signaled for us to sit at her desk and said that it will take 1 week to take effect. She then requested us to sign without explaining any other matters. Customer service by the lady who processed our request is terrible and I did not enjoy my experience being a consumer there at all.

The worst foreign bank in Singapore. Zero customer services. Go check out their FB page to find out how hopeless their customer service is and bank with them at your own risk.

We register the bank they did not check properly and ask customer go back to close the bank , wasting people time with that and poor service , first time see xounter serve ppl with impatient

Call their hotline ask for help to opt out monthly paper statement. But tell me only can do it in the app / website. But after did still receiving paper statement. This standard charted bank is hopeless. Simple job still can’t manage.

Worst experience of a bank or any other service in Singapore. When opening the account and asking for more products investment they treat you with drinks and seats but when you actually need a service back from them, they dont even talk to you kindly. Shout at you and treat badly as possible , make you stand and wait and funnily asks who u opened the account with in years ago and they cant help you cz they are not the one who opened the account (prudential agent inside scb ) . Sadly my account is tied with them with a investment i cant close and say bye bye so leaving a bad review for people to consider opening accounts with them.

Very bad experience with Standard Chartered bank! Not only super low interest rate given, insist on fresh funds for promotional interest rate which means I have to transfer funds to another bank and come back to the bank to get a slightly higher interest rate! This is how they treat their customers:( I am considering to feedback to MAS.
