Nice fragrant coffee that is not your usual hawker centre coffee!

Wonderful discovery. 1.90$ for piping hot, fragrant coffee, brewed with the aid of an expresso machine. A little bit of a wait as the beans are ground fresh and espresso pulled in front of you, but worth it. Will definitely patronize again.

Star Coffee serves up wonderful café style espressos in a Hawker Centre. This allows even more people to enjoy wonderful coffee made from espresso machines as most would assume that cafes are expensive. The affordable coffee sets here are really popular with the visitors and especially the working crowd during weekday lunch time. Discovered this place by chance while exploring Bukit Merah Central Hawker Centre. This is only the second hawker centre I have been to with a coffee stall that uses an expresso machine to make their coffee. Ordered a Signature Coffee Set, which comes with a Garlic or Kaya Toast. The espresso coffee, served in the old school kopitiam ceramic cups, is smooth and fragrant. Unfortunately, the Garlic Toast, even though it was tasty, was a little dry. A second drink of Milo Peng Plus was ordered. This Milo Dinosaur clone was served a small plastic cup and did not have enough ice to keep it cold. This resulted in a messy drink that had to be hand stirred frequently to enjoy all that extra powder on top. This is definitely a go to place for some wonderful and affordable expresso coffee for those working or living in the vicinity. Very fragrance coffee for a reasonable price. Different from your usual kpt ones, this one remind me of those Ipoh white coffee taste, strong and aromatic. A must try for something more premium at a good value. ?????

Came across this humble coffee stall around February 2022 and since then whenever I want to drink mocha coffee, I will visit this stall. I love the mocha coffee with a slice of garlic bread cost me $3.40. My first visit was $3.20 but as you know nowadays supplier cost went up so had to pay 20 cents more , well I don't mind as long as the coffee is good and most importantly their service . Owner name is Mr Loh only started the business less than 6 months . Do take note he is using Expresso coffee, so that's why the price is a little different than your normal Coffee but to me is like the Starbucks or coffee bean standards, very good. I m not a coffee drinker by the way but now it seems I begin to like coffee.? I wish one day he will sell in a big cup or have optional to up-size and have some banana cake prefer steam banana cake, hehehe. Located at far end in Bukit Merah Central hawker center, this nice & clean cafe stall sells v reasonably priced brewed coffee. Tried both the signature coffee & iced signature coffee. Both are good quality and comparing to some mall kopi franchises this is great value. Owner is friendly and various options digital payment available. Would come back again for sure!
