Have our 4rm resale HDB renovation with Starry - Jason. It was pleasure working with him. Completed the whole renovation in 2 months despite short of man-power everywhere. Their price is slightly above average but most of their contractors with above average quality as well. Jason was very good with the project management. He was responsive, well communicated and prompt with the defect rectifications. I am pleased with the work that they have done and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

the painting service was really horrible. didn’t even put on primer, something so basic and essential, and the paint peels off in chunks so easily. very unhappy, unreliable overpriced company. not recommended

A very big 'Thank You' to my ID Abel for making my new home a reality. He listened patiently to my ideas and design concept and was very understanding of my budget constraint and need for an elderly-friendly home environment right from the start. Throughout the discussion, planning and renovation process, he constantly sought to achieve a delicate balance between cost effectiveness, functionality and aesthetics. He was also very responsive and resourceful in attending to my queries and requests over the months. Although there were a few hiccups along the way, Abel was quick to troubleshoot and remedy the situation. As I was on a tight timeline to handover my previous flat to the buyer, Abel did his best to expedite the renovation works, thus making it possible for us to move in ahead of schedule. Overall, it was an immense pleasure working with Abel and I highly recommend him to homeowners looking to renovate their new home. I would like to take this opportunity to wish Abel the very best in his career ?.

My wife and I were looking to renovate our newly purchased condo apmt and wanted to engage an ID firm to help us design and renovate it. After doing a lot of research and reading up, our first stop was Starry Homestead because somehow this firm's name kept cropping up due to it's many good reviews! We were assigned Jason Lim and were impressed with his enthusiasm and eagerness to help us design and create our dream home. He patiently listened to our ideas and concepts, which were very confusing as we didn't even know what theme we wanted. However Jason didn't flinch and came up with a few design concepts for us to consider. We left after a couple of hours and then thought perhaps go to other ID firms to explore more options. However we felt very comfortable with Jason and decided to go back to him to discuss further after a week. During this week Jason didn't hound us or do any hardsell, which was surprising. After this 2nd visit, we were sold. Jason didn't come back to us because he was busy doing up more design concepts and ideas to present to us, even though we didn't indicate at all that we would be back. That made us appreciate there and then that we may have finally found our ID, and we were not wrong. Jason isn't the type that just listens and gives in to your design ideas especially when it is not feasible. That would be a red flag that the ID wasn't interested. During the 2 months of design discussions, he would offer ideas and at times even educated us on why some of our design ideas weren't feasible. We learnt a lot from him. He also followed us to various shops to buy lightings, accessories and tiles etc for the renovation. During the renovation process I must say I have never met such an "on the ball" project manager. Scheduling for all the different contractors involved was impeccably done with timing all fixed and fulfilled. Jason would update us of the progress almost everday and our handphones would be bombarded with progress pics, even when he was on leave! His response to our questions were very prompt and he would get down to action immediately. We were very impressed with his management skills. What impressed us most was he would sometimes without hesitation get his hands dirty to do minor rectification works like painting patches before the painter came cos he just wanted it done. We even spied him once cleaning our glass stove! That is what Jason is, a committed and responsible ID. We were indeed very blessed to have gotten Jason as our ID, and in the end we got our dream home and right on schedule. Things did not stop there. Jason continued and still continues to ask whether everything was ok and would arrange for us anything we wanted done. I have run out of thumbs to give him enough thumbs up.

My designer, Ashton Siow, is extremely responsive to all sorts of renovation and maintenance queries and issues. This has saved lots of my and my wife's time as we do have busy work schedules. There has been minimum hiccups during planning and renovations. Ashton and his team of carpenters, plumbers, painters etc. managed to deliver the completed renovated house before CNY. I would like to thank Ashton and his team for his constant dedication to his work and fulfilment of various requests such as rubber stopper, gas pipe adjustment, silicon sealing, holes drilling, air con duct covering etc. Ashton and his team are capable to spot practicality issues which i also think are most important. However, having said the above, i strongly advise owners to also do some research and homework before renovation and do work closely and amiably with the designer /contractor throughout the renovation. At the end of the day, you will find yourself on the winning side.

Being first time home owner and total clueless when coming to home renovation, we are so glad to found Jo and have her as our ID. She is very reliable and helpful in guiding us throughout the renovation process. We were quite busy with our work during the weekdays but Jo went the extra miles to be on-site for receiving our deliveries from GainCity etc without having us to take days off work! There were definitely a few hiccups such as miscalculation of bathroom sinks against the tabletop, lighting point is too near to water heater tank storage and need to be relocated, AC compressor got dented due to being sat upon by installation GainCity crew, just to name a few. However, Jo was very prompt in alerting us on some of those issues and also providing solutions to us. She even offered to contact the AC installation crew to return and fix the dent caused during installation. There were also times when we make last minute decision (e.g adding more lighting points in our bedrooms) after knowing that our only source of light from ceiling fans got delayed due to Covid lockdown situation. Jo was definitely very understanding and accommodating to our change requests/ needs. When the fabricated wardrobes have arrived, we faced some usability issues (difficulty in grip) with the door handles and drawers. We feedback to Jo about our concern and requested to make some changes to achieve more realistic result. Jo is a good listener and always open for discussion putting our needs as priority. We were very pleased by her initiative in discussing with her management team and waive of the extra costs/ charges for the alteration to wardrobes’ doors. There were also some miscellaneous stuffs such as reposition of the bathroom door lock and providing mounting of bathroom racks/ mirror with no extra charges. Overall, we are very lucky and thankful for all the stuffs that Jo had done for us, it could have easily been a disaster have we not met Jo! Once again a big heartfelt ‘Thankyou!’ for helping us to create our dream home! ?

Good experience engaging Ashton for my first home renovation. The renovation journey went smoothly despite of the current pandemic situation and he managed to make things work out well. I would like to thanks him for that. As a first time home owner, I am wary of renovation horror stories, such as IDs that over promise but under deliver, or IDs that disappear. Fortunately, this was never the case with Ashton. He is very patient and responsive to all my queries at all times and always available whenever any assistance needed. Even at times when I changed my mind often, he always try his best to accommodate accordingly. During the renovation process, Ashton provided good guidance and suggestions in many areas including selection of materials, colors and items and balancing between aesthetics and practical. He also helped to source for things such as lights and mirror. He ensure that the renovation schedule was properly arranged and went on as planned. Most importantly, he remained responsive and reliable throughout the renovation and is contactable at any time. Once again thank you Ashton

We decided to engage Ashton from Starry Homestead based on a recommendation from a friend. It was a good decision. During the initial stage, it was clear that he listened to our requirements before providing the quote. And during the actual renovation, he gave regular progress updates, was very responsive to our queries and quick in rectifying issues. The project was completed within the agreed period. Overall, we’re happy with the renovation journey.
