★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Saw this statue back in early March before the lockdown. The statue stands in tribute to Abdullah Abdul Kadir, the Malay writer who accompanied Sir Stamford Raffles as an interpreter and translator. He is best known as the Father of modern Malay literature, hence his sobriquet Munshi Abdullah. Worth a quick look if you're wandering around Boat Quay.
