Nice little speakeasy offering very interesting concoctions with naughty names. Paired with Chinese pastries.

Great food and great service! We went for dinner and drinks (ordered the Har Cheong Gai, Hei Zho, Yang Zhou Fried Rice, Butter Chicken, Sambal Potato Leaves and Hotplate Beancurd). Will definitely visit again :-)

Walked past Chinatown and chanced upon this quirky bar. Fronted by a traditional Chinese biscuit shop, it turned out to be a cool speakeasy after I walked in. The cocktails on the menu had interesting names and the concoctions were divine! The cocktails also came paired with Chinese pastries, very interesting concept. East meets West fusion. The staff were super friendly and hospitable. Drinks were good. Had bar snacks to munch on too. Will definitely go back again.

Traditional pastry shop by day, 1960s style speakeasy by night serves up unique cocktails with a pastry pairing in an oft-ignored corner of Chinatown. Our favourites of the night were Gay Ming and Jia Xiang. Gay Ming was a perfectly-executed local twist on an Old Fashioned and Jia Xiang reminded us of an Asian eggnog. We ended the night with the subtly sweet and refreshing Mi Lu. While the nostalgic ambience and attentive service does deserve high praise, the real gem is the presence of the pastry shop owner herself, diligently rolling out more pastries to feed tomorrow’s hungry patrons. This place is definitely doing Sum Ting Right. Hah. I bet you knew I was gonna say that.

Excellent selection of drinks. Also, it’s great that every drink comes with a pastry. One of the highlights was the pastry aunty diligently rolling pastries in the back room amidst the alcohol-soaked antics of the bar patrons. She knows what’s up

Novel idea but was expecting a little more from the ambience and cocktails given such good ratings on google. But I like the casualness and easy going vibes of the bar and how it tries to complement with the Chinese pastry shop. Some parts of the place make nice photo spots too.
