β β β β β No variety, the same 3-4 kinds of sushi keep coming. Requested for caramelized salmon but the kitchen ignored. Wasted $17 eating the same 2 kinds food.

β β β β β Suspected something wrong with the food, after having it - Within an hour, feeling sicky and when i reaches home, i vomitted a few times. Very uncomfortable feeling my friend who had lunch with me also felt likewise.
We both suspected was the salmon sashimi.

β β β β β Portions seem smaller than other outlets, with sashimi being especially evident - 2 slices as opposed to 3 elsewhere.
Smaller sushi aside, the rice was of inconsistent quality. There was sushi with rice way more clumped up than what sushi should be, and there was also sushi with rice grains that were hard.
Limited sushi variety, but barring the above issues, were pretty OK taste-wise.

β β β β β Manager doesnβt apply the 40-min dine in and allow the Q-line to build up. Her answer was they cannot βchaseβ customers away though they were only chatting. Whatβs the point of the signage during peak dinning time?
Most of the other outlets have very effective and efficient management. They put the check in time on a piece of paper for their customers and they gently remind customers the 40-min is near.
A poorly managed outlet

β β β β β Totally disappointing meal. Was there after 1pm. Half empty and I asked to sit at a table but was told it was for 4 people. No problem took a sit with my wife at the long table. Couple minutes later a lady and her daughter walked in and were allowed to sit at the table I requested. Was it because they were Caucasien? I hope not but didnβt raise a fuss. The food was nothing to talk about. No variety, limited choice. Just took a couple and we left to continue our lunch elsewhere in PP. Not worth a one star rating. Definitely not coming back here or any of their other branches

β β β β β 0 service with 10% service charge, today I visited here, its not very crowded with quite many of sit and no one is attending. I see no queue sign so I think probably I have to find myself a sit. Soon after, a Bangladesh staff come to a corner take out his phone, camera pointing at me for very long time until I turn my face to him. I guess he was taking a photo of me, big clap for them, with so many of surveillance camera, they are just busying taking photo of customer without customer's concerns and that's the reason no one at the main entrance! Totally disappointed

β β β β β It's my first time to visit this branch. I've been standing in the queue for about 20mins as the Indian waiter asked me to wait, and that's reasonable as there's limited staff working only. However, he took other's people takeaway order first when a guy approached him, instead of letting me go in first. There are vacant seats and he could have clear the table first so that I don't need to keep standing there.
As there's only limited items compare to other branches, the seasonal item-whole abalone seems absent on the belt, so I immediately order from them once I sat down. The most ridiculous thing is, I've been waited for the abalone for about an hour. In between, I asked for my order quite a few times, but all I saw was the chef was just keep doing new coming takeaway order. I don't get it. Why don't you serve your dine in customer first? I didn't expect you to be express but at least serve the dine in first rather than do the new coming orders. After a few round of chasing, the chef then pass the food to the waiter unwillingly.
Other than that, their chocolate cake was so hard until I need a lots of efforts to break it into peices, I guess they don't defrost it well. The sushi rice was a bit undercooked too.(I've work in Japanese restaurant for few years so I know where's the standard)
Overall, I've been dine in for so many sushi express branches and quite pleasant with their food and service, but this is my worst experience ever in sushi Express. (Shout out to the waiter in PLQ branch, even though there's one waiter working only but he managed to keep up his professional and politeness in the work).
Hopefully you can reflect this problem to your management.
