β β β β β New discovery & it's amazing how much Singapore Expo has reinvented the space.
Had dinner at the new Food Tag which we are told it's about 2 months old.
Typical cafe fare which the menu has been designed for providing quick efficient service to the participants of any Expo exhibitions
There was a Japanese oysters promotion ongoing at $5++ /each. The oysters were luscious & really good. Super enjoyed it
The crayfish aglio olio pasta were good too @ $29++
One thing to note, there was no dessert in the menu ?

What I tried,
Braised Beef Cheeky Saffron Risotto
I was immediately charmed when this was being served seeing how the risotto is in a complete shade of sunshine yellow due to the presence of saffron. This dish really BLEW my mind. Resting on this bed of rich creamy buttery Risotto that was cooked to a wonderful texture is the sublime Braised Beef Cheek. Slow braised for 6 hours till extremely tender and full of flavour. Is an absolute pleasure, a party in my mouth.
Chicken Nanban
Succulent chunks of chicken that are fried to perfection blanket by Chef's special recipe sauce created in-house. Glad to say the sauce did not steal the limelight from the completely moist and juicy yet crispy chicken as they complement each other for that divinely delicious and undeniably umami.
XXL Chicken Parmigiana
Extra crispy breaded chicken breast coated in tomato sauce, melty mozzarella and parmesan, perfuming the dish with layers upon layers of seasoning. Served together rockets and fries. The sauce has that tomatoey sweetness that contrasts nicely against the cheesy parmesan. The fries here is not a supporting actor, is a star of its own. Very crispy well seasoned.
Corn Ribs.
Move over, corn on the cob! Here come Corn Ribs that is quartered pieces of corn on the cob! The quartered corn fried till perfectly curl with mayonnaise, cayenne pepper, pecorino, lime, coriander lastly dusted in a generous heap of parmesan cheese. I can't explain why, but it's so much more fun and pleasure to eat corn on the cob this way!
Soft Shell Crab
Crispy batter that is deep fried to a handsome shade of golden-brown and is very meaty. I'm impressed that it maintained its crispiness even when it has become cold. The mayo with tobiko adding a layer of rich flavour to them.
What makes dining here even more pleasant is the friendly crews there which are so attentive and making you feel warm and welcoming. This is a great place to come chill and dine with family and friends.
