β β β β β If you are going to eat here, stick to the usual favourites Donburis especially the foie gras. It's portions are good although the rice at the other branches seems nicer. I don't recommend the sandwiches.The snow crab avocado is nice and tastes exactly how one would imagine the taste of the combo. But $29.90 is not that cheap. Beef pastrami is salty with more fats than meat. It's pretty greasy. I think Tanuki does their raw foods and sashims well, it's fresh and good, especially the oysters. Stick to the tried and tested. I have yet to try their truffle fries which I see a few tables ordering. The yuzu mocktail is also pretty refreshing and reminds me alot of a sour plum drink.

β β β β β Food was okay but my son said the one in orchard serve much better type of meat for their foie gyu don.
And i think it is under seasoned.
So i would like to try ones in orchard.
As for unagi don it is good.
Trufle fries also good.

β β β β β Truffle Gyu-Don is nice, and the ambience of this place also nice, good for chilling out. I suggests coming here at happy hour time, you can get special price for beer & oysters. But the oysters are not so fresh in my opinion, and to buy the oysters at happy hour time, you need to buy the drinks first.

β β β β β Truffle fries is A-MA-ZING ? adding the mushroom is such a great touch!!!!! And the sauce is BOMB.
Overall, service was better than the food (both from the waiter and the the chef). Food gets 5/5 from me.

β β β β β Overall it was okay but not worth my $140.
Food tasted nice but was served cold esp the gyu don w/ foie gras (Except for the salmon don), but the impossible beef spicy fries was very bad. The beer on jug was alright. The service was okay too but the bartender/manager (?) did seemed a little aggressive with customers. I witnessed a customer enquiring something about jewel changi rewards thing and the "manager" just raised her voiced right away and rejected the customer. Well I thought it was rude. I had a enquiry too about my bill but i was ignored at the counter for a good 5mins before they attended to me. The only good thing about this place is the location. The atmosphere was cooling but there wasn't any music by tanuki raw. Also sometimes you may hear the HSBC light show which will burst your ear drums and honestly spoil the whole experience even more.

β β β β β Definitely would return. Good bonburi, generous portions, quality fish. Avocado snow crab sandwich and beef melts sandwich were good too! The crab sandwich had a few small pieces of shell, but no complaints. Beef sandwich was tender and juicy, but could be served hotter.
The fries and Hiro chicken were fantastic as well. Highly recommend the sides.
Negroni was well done too.

β β β β β My spouse and I celebrated a double wedding anniversary with my brother and his spouse on 11th January 2022. We really like the food which was simply great, especially the fresh oysters. Thanks to the great service provided by the staffs and a special thanks to John (photo) who bought 2 cakes (from another stall) and a round of rice wine to finish off our celebration at the end of the evening. Great job, guys.
