Not exactly authentic Thai taste, but not a bad zichar. Difference is self service order and pay at counter first.

We went there today after rain. Ample parking here, initially we didn’t see a lot of people, we thought the coffee shop was closed. Sat there were a few people, then we realized they are there for the same stall. We ordered take away 3 taste deep fried fish delight (medium S$24), steam Lala (clam in garlic soup)(small S12) and honey chicken (medium S$15). I noticed there was no GST charge and food price is really affordable, comparing with other coffee shops. No charge to the take away tupper ware as well. Probably this is because the stall is located in a industrial building, Midview City. Deep fried fish was crispy outside and fluffy outside. The batter has a light salty taste, not too much but just nice. It came with 3 dipping sauce, which us 2 red chilli sauce and a green chilli seafood sauce. Personally I prefer the sweet chilli sauce, taste like deep fried prawn crackers chilli and green seafood chilli, brought the sweetness of the fish to another level. Steam Lala is another good choice for this kind of cold weather. Very garlic-ky taste with the soup, warms you up after drinking it. Honey chicken is surprising soft, taste like Mongolian chicken we had in Peach Garden. They have lunch set during weekdays as well. Comes with a lunch set, plus free ice cream. S$6 for a set. Hopefully return soon for their famous La Po Soup (Wifey Soup)(price at S$78)

Thier Lao Po (wife) soup is a must try. Had it twice, not disappointed. Rich, umami, well worth the price. Do call to check if they still have stock for the day. Braised pork trotters (father's day special) is seasonal and must try if you have the chance!

Some dishes really worth ordering. Tom yum soup one of the best I had with fresh ingredients, pineapple fried rice was fragrant. Disappointed with their signature deep fried fish though. Over cooked till point of slight bitterness from the charred flour, fish also wasn't fresh. Would rather go for the fried sotong which was good. Overall interesting place which is a cross between Chinese tze char which serves Thai food

Best dish was the deep fried cuttlefish. The tomyam’s alright, quite tasty with lots of seafood ingredients. The tang hoon was a little lacking in taste, could have been a bit saltier. Otherwise, it’s good. Reasonable price, and food came super fast, like 5 mins after ordering.

Overall decent, though the food is closer to Chinese zhi char than the standard authentic Thai taste. Great that the food comes fast and there is no shortage of seats. Ordered: Tom yum Fish Maw Soup Slice ginger beef Phat Thai

Feb 2022. First time eating out after fully recovered from covid. Picked this place for dinner because it was late and we were hungry. This zichar eatery provided fast and great service. The dishes were served with 10min after ordering. We ordered tom yam soup, egg yolk chicken, onion pork, glass noodle, nai bai and kai lan. The dishes were Thai and largely localised, that explained the brisk business. The portion was big and the prawns deserved a mention. They were super fresh.

This is more like a zichar/ Chinese Thai than authentic Thai food. But that said, food is delicious and very reasonably priced. Service is quick and efficient as well. For me, pineapple fried rice and fried fish is a must! A little out of place, but good food and laid back vibes makes it quite worth it.
