My mom’s and her maid’s favourite chicken place. We will get this for them at least once a week and both are then happy campers. The chicken is a decent size, and is very crispy yet tender. Prices are reasonable too. They have two other outlets in the nearby blocks too.

See the photos and judge for yourself. Purchased at around 6pm on 2 Jan 2020. Already ran out of lemon slice for the fish and chips. Or do they not serve it at all? Such small serving size. I needed to take a photo with the sauce packet to let you all judge for yourself. The other piece is even smaller. Quantity of fries is lesser than even McD small fries. What a joke. And the batter of the fried fish is oily and soggy, and thick. Fish also had a fishy taste to it. So gross, I rather throw the whole box away and my $7, then to stomach this and waste my calories. No more Tenderbest from this joint ever again. Even the fries quantity that comes with the fried chicken is lesser. And I find that the fried chicken these days is dry and hard from this joint.

I ordered fish'n chips and happy plate (fried chicken). Food was served well and shop is clean. Both had a bit too much oil for me. I wouldn't go again

i have been a patron of this tenderbest since i was really young and i am terribly disappointed that this is the first time i had a bad experience. i ordered bbq wing rice for take away and this is the first time that it tasted like braised chicken and was thoroughly under cook. i hope the owner can read this review and consider changing back to the old recipe. thanks

Mixed experience. Food wise, can’t fault it. Tenderbest and tenderfresh are known for affordable and consistent western style meals. What’s the issue with this outlet is it’s food prep and service. I understand that they may be understaffed or overwhelmed by the large volume of orders but service should never be compromised. The young Malaysian male staff was horrible rude, impatient and inattentive. He seems to have a habit of picking up the toasted bread with his barehands. Food prep can be further improved. Same pair of tongs that goes into picking the raw meat is used for serving cooked fries. I also noticed a poor practice of lifting raw meat across cooked food items, leaving the juices dripping over everything it passes. Ew.

There are 2 tenderbest in the area. A household name since 1981 it gained much popularity in the 90’s when they started franchises and now they have around 150 outlets around the island. Must try the spring chicken and happiness plates(3 pcs fried chicken). Good classic Coffeeshop western food at reasonable prices.

I'm surprised to find this 80s chicken chain still around. Used to be very popular during 80s and 90s, well-known for their crispy fried chicken. Tried their half chicken rice, the fried chicken skin was golden brown and very crispy. The meat was juicy and tender, yet not oily. It brought back fond memories of my schooling days.
