★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The marinade and slightly tangy sauce are the stars here (other than the delightfully irreverent and curious stalk name). Yes, the chicken is succulent and well grilled. But the seasoning is the real star. A far cry from the usual brown: black pepper sauce served at local “Western” food stalls. It goes perfectly with white rice. For $6.50, it’s good value. It could be slightly less greasy but other than that, it’s a comforting and tasty meal. My go-to western food stall in the Tampines region.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had pretty high expectations after reading the reviews. First bite was great. Then slowly turned salty. Realised it's the sauce. Towards the end there's some parts that are still pink. Probably slightly better than average. Fish and chips was a little salty too.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Chicken chop had a wonderfully smokey char and was juicy and tender! The side were more of an afterthought though, baked beans were cold and crinkle cut fries were not seasoned and dry. However I did enjoy the buttered white bread, using it to sop up the sauces.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Giving 2 stars for the nicely grilled chicken chop.
Recently price was raised and chicken chop portion was reduce 30-40%. Fries was only given a v small portion at one look you know roughly how many are there, and this is after i requested to change the beans to fries. Dont even feel half full when im not even very hungry.
Used to support this stall everytime i dropped by and had a hearty meal, but now will think twice the next time im there.
*edit*: not forgetting now they even scrimp on the sauces on the chicken chop.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was greeted by the retro looking menu upon arrival at the stall. The stall is managed by 2 elderly uncles and a aunty assistant. Overall the stall has a bit of a old school/retro feel. The food that they serve are typical Hainanese styled western food.
I ordered the chicken chop which costs $6.50. What was served to me was a fairly small piece of chicken which was perfectly grilled. The skin of the skin was nice and crispy and the meat itself was rather juicy. A thin lawyer of sweet garlic sauce (presumably, based on the smell) was coated over the grilled chicken meat.
The chicken chop was accompanied thick cut fries, baked beans, a few slices of cucumbers and 2 small pieces of slightly buttered white bread (which are nothing more than just fillers). I would replace the bread with coleslaw if it was available as I personally prefer my meal to be more balanced.
The meal was delicious and I enjoyed every bite of it. I would have rated this meal 5/5 stars if the chicken chop was slightly bigger and more options for the sides.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good portion, old school western food. The sliced bread wasn’t necessary as it was not toasted and a bit off. The chicken chop sauce was unique. The egg could be fried a bit more as it is really pale.
Worth trying in the vicinity.
