Came on Wednesday night to take away, ordered at 7:45pm and made payment at 7:56pm and was waiting for the food but there were only 3 staff? The manager was helping to serve food from the kitchen and the other two staff were at the back, not sure what they were doing. A long queue started to form of people wanting to make payments and a guy had to β€˜make noise’ in order to make payment for his food. And 40 minutes later, we’re still waiting for our Tom Yam soup, Pad Thai, Kang Kong and Egg while everyone who was dining in got served before us even though we came first. First and last time I’m dining here but I hope the management does something about this. Thanks. As you can see in the photo, no staff on ground.

Always been a fan of Thai express in my non-vegetarian days, so I kind of missed it after turning meatless diet. To my surprise I found a few vegetarian options on their menu and had the Vegetarian Tom Yum Hor Fun! The kway teow really got wok hey. A delightful lunch today! Didn't remember anything significant about the service. Food was prompt and nothing amiss. So I guess that's good.

Highly recommend people to visit! As a regular customer, all my dine-in experiences with them have been pleasant. Firstly, the food is not only delicious, but the standard has been consistent. In combination with the cosy ambience, it makes a good hang-out and date spot. Next, the staff are very friendly, courteous and helpful. Would like to commend Karla, Ashley, Ke Tian, Iskandar and the rest of the crew. Despite the rush hours and the ever-changing COVID-19 measures, they did not fail to provide an excellent service. Last but not least, Thai Express has also incorporated the use of an electronic menu, easing the ordering process. For those who are not familiar with the new technology, the staff are more than happy to assist you. (I have seen this in person.) *Picture attached shows food from Zhong Shan Mall branch but the food standard at Raffles City is similar.

The food was not as good as when Thai Express had several branches across Singapore. I tried my usual vegetarian pad thai and the mango sticky rice. Neither was as good as they use to be. The ambience would have been nice if I was not given a table right next to the foot traffic in B1 of the mall. The service was alright.

The food is a definite put off. As a restaurant, expectations are high but what I get was a typical food court outlook. Not to mention the taste. I can get a better tasting Thai food at Old Airport road. Oh, the picture in the menu has lettuce for presentation. When I ordered, they ran out even though cold storage was nearby. I guess this is my first and last visit to Thai Express. Staff attitude was lower than expectation.

Edit: unfortunately I had stomach flu after this meal , which is likely from the lemon grass drink. Overall an okay dinner at Thai express, a more budget friendly option around the area Portions are fine and it’s easy to order on the iPad We came on a Sunday night and there were no queues, surprisingly not many people in the mall on a Sunday evening. Restaurants in general were not full Maybe that is why our food came relatively quickly, which is nice

Service was too slow. Maybe due to the shortage of staff. You have to be very patient till your food is served. Staff seem diligent to serve customers though. The available dishes were limited. So many dishes in the menu were unavailable. Especially appetizer. They have only one dish in appetizer menu, so disappointed. The taste was good. This was my 1st visit so I’m not sure whether it’s due to the pandemic impact or not, but in all I won’t choose this restaurant again even if these points are improved. There must be better restaurants near by in this area.
