★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Found this place by chance. Good food, good service! Gravy is beefy... The texture is tender... Just melts in the mouth. Will try the soup version next time ☺️

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favourite restaurant to visit whenever I have cravings for hainanese beef noodle. The gravy for the dry version is well balanced and it comes with a small bowl of flavourful soup. It was priced reasonably and had a generous amount of ingredients. Service staff was friendly and welcoming.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Affordable comfort food on a rainy evening! Despite being an order-at-the-counter establishment, the staff were friendly and helpful, offering us recommendations when we said it was our first time visiting. The staff were also really attentive when we needed assistance while seated.
We ordered the dry sliced beef noodles (their signature according to the counter staff) and a la carte beef rendang. Appreciated how thin the slices of beef were, which gave it a good texture (not too chewy). The rendang portion was generous and the dish was flavorful. Would have enjoyed the rendang even more if the beef were a bit more tender, but great bang for your buck nonetheless.
Found the ambience of the restaurant welcoming and while it was cosy, tables were well-spaced out (conducive for gossiping lol). Will be back to try their other dishes soon!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ STOP READING! JUST GO NOW!
Living in nearby (but far) Balestier, I've been itching to try the food here for at least a year now and as evident from my almost empty bowl.... WORTH IT!
I had the beef brisket + another top up of $4 beef and lime juice and chose ban-mian as the noodle option.
The noodle was blanched just right, not too soft, not too stiff. It's always a good sign when a store does not eff up something basic.
The broth was good on its own, but the magic happens when the accompanying hot sauce gets dumped in (personal preference).
As my first impression of the dish was with the additional beef added, I'd say that it would be the best way to enjoy the dish portion wise; this may be some clever menu engineering but hey.... Pay! for good food!
As for the beef it self! My oh my.... Soft... Juicy... Flavor bursts.... But stringy enough to have that bunch of left overs meat stuck at the back teeth as you leave the restaurant... (Let's be honest.... those taste good ?)
The lime juice was passable, managed to spy that it was a premix cordial instead of any fancy on the spot juicing etc.
I read other reviews here stating about the friendliness of the lady boss; this is true. Proper hospitality right at the beginning of any meal always helps the food go down better, what more when the food is good!
Will be back to try the other offerings soon! Wagyu maybe!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beef Noodles (SGD $9) @ The Beef Station.
.
A relatively new contender in the beef noodles arena, this family-run stall has been operating since June 2019.
.
Their pleasantly light soup carries a simple meaty sweet savoury flavour, unlike elsewhere, no herbs are used. Likewise their thick gravy, which clings well to the smooth thick bee hoon / rice vermicelli noodles.
.
The beef slices have a light chew, more so than elsewhere, and satisfying meaty savoury sweet notes. The beef meat balls are springy with a straightforward meaty salty savoury flavour, while the soft tripe soaks up the taste of the soup or gravy.
.
Garnishes of crisp bean sprouts and crunchy pickled mustard greens lend vegetal sweet sour tangy salty flavour. Completed with leafy coriander for that hint of freshness.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heard that the beef noodles are quite good and came for a quick lunch.
I find that there’s a dearth of good beef noodles - my previous favourite Scotts beef noodles at Ion seemed to have changed operator. So this is really not bad.
I had the dry sliced beef noodles and they were generous with the sauce, which is robust. The beef slices were thin and easy to eat, not hard to chew like some places.
It being an air-conditioned (self-serviced) outlet, the prices are definitely not your hawker fare level, though still acceptable to me.

Lady boss is very nice and friendly! Their beef noodle is the best, normally I will order dry, it’s will come with a small bowl of soup. Their soup is super nice too!
First try their ox tail, the tenderness surprise me!
Highly recommend! My first choice!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing beef noodle! Ordered the wagyu noodles and TBS mini trio. Super filling. Food is amazing. Soup is slightly too savoury but it’s still delicious! Price is affordable, should definitely give it a try when you’re around the area! :)
