Fuel X

Good value brunch - good food / good price. Unfortunately no cold brew available when we arrived first thing when they opened... And service at ordering counter was underwhelming, the lady seemed unmotivated and didn't bother to even pretend to know anything about customer service.

One of the few cafes that serve magic coffee, which is steamed milk poured over a double ristretto and served in a smaller 160ml cup giving it the optimum coffee to milk ratio. A preferred choice for me. Did not try the food as we were there for a coffee break. Some sitting areas can be a bit warm as the aircon is obviously not strong enough due to the high open ceiling & open kitchen concept. Service staff was nice to inform us beforehand that sitting at the high tables could be a bit warm.

Came here with my friend and honestly it’s so so. Not that good vegetarian options. The irony is that the salad all have meat. The food is actually quite big in portion. I ordered the fries and it was huge. My friend and I tried to finish it. However, the ice coffee is so little for no reason. Like it’s barely 200 ml. Overall, it’s a mediocre place.

Brunch here was enjoyable. In particular, the “X-Ben” was outstanding, being flavourful with a middle-eastern vibe. It consisted of a generous amount of ingredients as well. “Fuel me up”, which is your standard breakfast dish, was better than average. The coffee wasn’t too bad as well, though a tad generic. To round up our meal, we ordered the Matcha pancake, topped with green tea ice-cream. Pancakes were fluffy and paired well with the variety of fruits, but ice-cream was slightly too sweet. Space is limited but the layout allows for an efficient spread of crowd (what with the current social distancing measures). They have some outdoor seating. The only thing I’ll point out (and I’m nitpicking here) is that the service staff seemed quite reticent; I do think more warmth and banter could’ve made for a more memorable experience, but that could be just a personal preference.

Convenient parking area within the mall, located at the ground floor. Nice cozy and warm feeling environment. staffs were friendly and approachable. Ample seating area with good safe distancing. Delicious food. Did order pistachio cake and truffle fries which were bug portion enough for two persons size. Suitable for families with kids too. Will return regularly.

Overall a very pleasant dining experience! They have quite an extensive and varied menu. We had the fried chicken waffles, pulled pork waffles and two sodas. We enjoyed all the food! The only downside was that they forgot to serve our pulled pork waffles, which only came after we had finished the chicken one. However, they were polite and proactive about it, and it was a busy morning. Would definitely come back again, but I hope their food prep and serving processes are tightened a tad.

Have been here multiple times, and the experience has been consistently good. One gets the sense that the staff here take pride in serving quality food and drinks. Would recommend the pork and chicken items on the Mains, although the salmon is very decent too. Tried the Fried Chicken and Waffle pictured below, and it was delicious too. Thought the Beef Fries could do with a higher beef to fries ratio, but as it is it is a hefty side that could suffice as a mains on itself too. Looking forward to dining here more!

We went to Fuel X for vday celebration. The menu was quite extensive so a good selection to choose from. We ordered chicken overload, salmon madness and apple crumble (vanilla ice cream). The chicken overload had truffle. The size of the chicken breast was big and there was a good amount of mashed potato so it was really filling! Love the mushroom sauce and the poached egg as well. Salmon Madness was nice too, the salmon was cooked well and there was a variety of veggies. I preferred the chicken overload more as it was at least something different from the usual that I ordered but Salmon madness was still great :) Lastly was our favourite, the apple crumble dessert! We enjoyed the mix of hot (sauce, crunchy crumble, apple) and cold components (ice cream). I felt it was a bit too sweet though. Luckily there was free flow of water! Overall a good place for lunch, service staff was polite and quick too! :)
