First time trying. Fish was fresh and serving was decent. We went for the $49.90 value set which included 2 veg and 2 meat which were supposedly $3.50 and $4.50 each respectively. Over priced for the sides if not for the value set. Set includes 2 drinks and 2 bowls of rice. Halfway through, it got too salty and oily, so I stopped. May be just me. However, after the dinner, my partner and I were very thirsty. Place was spacious and clean. Overall good to try once in a while.

Nice and wide selection of Chinese delicacies! Super like their seasoning and the doneness for chargrill BBQ style (lamb, chicken, chicken heart, mushroom, and beef). The side dish wanton abit flavourless and the Cumins beef also could be much spicier. Overall, great experience as it is still back up with super friendly and fast staffs.

Nice looking place that attracted us. We were given a seat at a corner, table space was ok, not crampy. Staff tend to shout across the store to host customers in. ? Service level acceptable.? We ordered the Kaoyu, Lazi Ji and some skewers. Lazi Ji in generous portion. Not oily, not overly spicy or sweet. Proportion of chilli and chicken pcs was good. ? Skewers were kinda of disappointing. The lamb skewers were tender. Shitake mushroom was quite bad, its so sweet... why?! Not sure if its meant be be like that but really not for me! ? Grilled Fish - We chose Hot Spicy with Pepper. Fish type - they only serve Qing Jiang Fish. Fish needed awhile to be warm up after serving. There was no other side ingredients in it, not even beansprouts. ? Soup was oily & too salty! we requested for add on of soup but of not much help..? For Fish wise, it was big, soft and very fresh.? Drinks - Homemade lemon tea and lime juice, both ok. Grilled fish @ $42.80 Total $82 for 2 pax.

Went there for dinner with my wife yesterday. I can say it was the best grilled fish I had though I'm not such a big grill fish eater. The service was good and the waiter was patient to introduce the dishes to us. When we ordered the fish, rice and drinks, the waitress informed us kindly that we could get the set meal which is 1 grilled fish, 2 veg, 2 meat, 2 rice and 2 drinks for $49.90 which was quite a good deal. Ordered some of the skewers as well and they were delicious. Loved the ambience and even the songs playing the background were slow Chinese pop music which I enjoyed. Definitely will be back again.

My sister highly recommended this stall to me as she knew I like green pepper chilly fish so much. So we had our dinner here during weekend. We didn’t pre-book but luckily we able to get the seat. Crowded n “smoky” environment, u’re need deep head to toe wash aft the meal ? The staffs was very busy run here n there. But they still very friendly to us. To be my surprise the taste was not very strong, as my first thought is heavy taste like salty n spicy. The grilled fish portion was big , we 4 girls but still cannot finish it. Recommend their grill chicken 鸡肉串, if u like satay then u definitely will like it very much ! But If u order grilled chicken then u may skip deep-fried chicken with chili, as the taste basically is the same. Add on my review after we try different grilled fish.. - if u like hot & spicy , DONT try lychee flavor cos it’s was supppper sweet ?‍? - the fried long bean is super nice , recommend it ?

Second Review: End-January 2022 Perhaps too quick to give it a five stars rating. As I was so impressed during the first visit, had to come again, and with another friend. However, and sadly to say, inconsistent. Food wise, the noodles were still as good as first visit, and so were the skewers. However, the sides were not on par. The black fungus side which I really like it the first time round suddenly became just a soy sauce black fungus without the previous mala flavour which I kept raving about. The spicy wanton was also a let down as it was very salty and had absolutely zero spicy fragrance and taste, but drenched in soy sauce rather. Also, my friend's noodles didn't arrive until all other items arrived and after I finished mine. Another incident was we ordered beer, and upon halfway realised that the bottle was chipped at the top. Glad nothing happened as we did not swallow any fragments (hope not). We informed one of the staff and she was apologetic and agreed to take it off the bill. Another two staff and one presumably the manager (or owner?) just sat at the counter looking like nothing happened. I think I was very nice as we all have read and heard some customers can really make a big deal out of broken glasses as it is indeed very dangerous. First Review: Mid-January 2022 First impression from the outside: Another grilled fish place, but they have more like BBQ, noodles and lots of other dishes too. On weekdays, they run a set lunch promotion where for any noodle dish starting from $6.80, and by adding $2.50 more, you get to choose 1 side dish (4 choices), 1 drink (lime juice or lemon tea) and 2 chicken BBQ skewers. Sounds very good value and with such pricing, did not went in with any high expectations. Second impression: Walking into the restaurant and very nice decor and setup. Since there are two of us, we get to choose 2 sides and picked the seaweed and black fungus side, and it was delicious with the right amount of spices and chilli. Even my friend whom wasn't good at eating spicy found it to be tasty too. At first, we thought the chicken skewers was one stick per person, but ended up was two per person, and again, wow, good value. For the noodles, my friend pick the Zha Jiang Mian, and I went for the mala and OMG, it was really MA and LA, but really well balance and felt very shiok after eating it. I just had to be very careful and try not to talk until I finished it. Overall, very good meal and very good value for money for weekday lunch in a nice place setting. Definitely exceed expectations but would like to come back again to try their grilled fish which is their signature. Until then, and shall review their grilled fish.

We chanced upon this after getting a queue from HDL. After getting pulled in by the somewhat whimsical mishmash interior design, we took a look at the menu and decided to give it a try since craving for hot, spicy and mala dishes. Ordered a bunch of dishes as seen in the photos. Most are decently well done. What caught our taste bud's attention was the 麻得跳, bullfrog in spicy peppercorn oil. Although we had plenty of Sze Chuan dishes before, this interesting gem is new and tastes equally fascinating. The other notable dish is the 串串, tapas-styled skewers grilled to perfection. We tried small portions of the lamb and intestines. It was really good. These would go well with beer. Lastly, service is decent. Some of the waitresses might be pretty new as they would remark with interest on interesting dishes they haven't seen before. The young counter front waitress was a little loud unfortunately, but given that she has to manage delivery drivers, crowd control and lead customers in to their tables, it is understandable.

Edited to 4 stars. Second time went service wasn't that good as they won't give us the table we want in corner and away from some people talking loudly as they find it easier to serve everyone together at one place. Ice water charged at $1 a bei. Older 5 star review below. Very good China Chinese restaurant serving Dongbei cuisine. Service was good. Food was tasty. BBQ was oily but otherwise all good. Prices can be said to be $$. Had some vegetarian options too in noodles and BBQ which I could order. Noodles were very good I must say. Liked the ambiance too.
