The Providore (PLQ) - #01-01 Paya Lebar Quarter 1

I got the lobster Mac and cheese, it wasn't how I normally have my Mac and cheese. But there was a good amount of lobster so i will let it go. Avocado toast cost two thirds of the price but was twice as nice. I would reccomended that. That's actually the reason I came here. Peanut butter milkshake is also great. Ill be back again for more toast and to try the other milkshakes.

Bought a loaf of sourdough from this branch and requested it to be sliced. Loaf was sliced haphazardly, with uneven edges and thickness. Surely the kitchen staff can do much better?! Two stars for the ambience and decent bakes.

We came to this place to celebrate mother's day today, reaching there around 1:30pm while some tables were available and we stood at the front door for around 5 mins, no one bothered to lead us to the table thus we walked to the casher and asked whether we can sit at the table we like... One man in black just reluctantly took us to the table with a long face .. said nothing. (We shall walk away at that moment...) But we didn't (should be out bad) We started to read the menu and raised our hands to the staff who were looking to our table but almost for 3 to 5 mins, no one bothered to walk to us, again we shall have left, our bad again) Finally after 5 mins, one young lady also with her consistently long face came to us and started to write down what we like to order... After 5to7 mins, the dishes started to be served, that is the best thing we could feel from this chain restaurant, but no one bothered to give us the cutlery... We thought someone should, after 2 mins, we asked one staff who kept the consistanty long face... Finally we got what we should have to start our lunch... The only thing we felt right today is the dishes we ordered tasted not bad... However when we started to try the lamb shank, my wife who is the one we want to thank her for the mother's day, found a piece of plastic fragment floated in the broth, (pls refer to the photo I attached here).. that was really the final straw that ruined the beautiful Sunday/mother's day today. Sigh!!!

Great chill out place for a lazy weekend breakfast. Tasty and fresh food. Apple pieces in Apple crumble had skins on them, didnt like the texture.... Had an issue with a foreign object in the burger. Staff was very professional and provided an immediate solution.

The crab linguini pasta is good but the lamb shank a bit tasteless to me. Wine selection also not too many but still good wine to offer. The yozu cheesecake and strawberry short cake texture is good and not too sweet. Price is reasonable.

Nice location and nice place without doubt. Lotsa space, nice ambience too. Prices may be a little on the higher side. They have an interesting selection of cakes and food. I was unable to take more pictures , so i used some of their menu pictures from their website to give a better idea of their offerings. Most of the staff were polite and friendly, well atleast that was my experience but for an elderly gentleman who told us that we could not order a slice of cake. Cakes could only be taken away (dabao). Minutes later and much to our surprise, a slice of cake appeared at the table of another customer. I then decided not to place my orders with this elderly gentleman and instead placed my orders directly at the bar. I can't believe how some staff take their jobs for granted while others pray that they won't get fired during this Pandemic ?‍♂️?‍♂️?‍♂️

Shocked and appalled at the service and general attitude of staff here. First I sat here at 4:45 before anyone even bothered to look at me. Finally tried to order a sandwich at 5:01 and was told the kitchen was closed for sandwiches. I have no words. The audacity to then be told we would have to pay 2 dollars per person for “free flow” sparkling water, I mean come on?? The salad left a LOT to be desired. It was all rocket/arugula and maybe a half tablespoon of hummus. I can’t give no stars so I give you one star. Won’t be gracing this establishment with my presence again.
