Starbucks Reserve - 10 Paya Lebar Road 01-14 Paya Lebar Quarter

Dear Starbucks, I think you should send all your 1 hour trained barista back to a beginner barista course again. This is a Reserve which you charged for more, so we expect more quality from you, but I don’t see any here. Ordered a cappuccino but I got a super hot burnt milk with espresso with no sweetness and texture at all. Your barista didn’t even bother to put her palm on the milk pitcher while steaming the milk, and there was a thermometer on the counter, use it when you have no idea how to keep the temperature below 65C. Look at the photo, the milk texture is screaming for help, there is no way to pass the SCA exam with this kind of badly steamed milk.

The staffs are friendly, attended to my enquiry patiently, even though they are quite busy during peak hour. They cleaned the table quite frequent for next person.

This is a starbucks. If you don’t know about starbucks, then you are either a much older generation, or you are still wearing diapers. Pretty standard but the service staff here is friendly. I am just reviewing for the points. ?. Had the House Affogato which is $1 more expensive than the Classic Affogato. Why? I don’t know. Not crazy enough to order both just to compare. An interesting information my wife shared with me while i drank my cappuccino. She used to join a short barista training class for fun and the trainer told her that, coffee purists who orders coffee with those flower or whatever art on their foam, will never stir the coffee. They will drink it carefully and try not to disturb the art as much as possible. They will not finish the whole cup, but will leave enough foam behind to still see the art as a respect for the barista. Not sure how true it is but i think this is enough to give me +10 points for detailed review. ✌?

Pales in comparison to the other 3 Starbucks Reserve outlets in Singapore. While the drinks are somewhat decent, this outlet disappoints in all other aspects. Ambience is sorely lacking. Has the vibe of an ordinary Starbucks joint. Service is slow and confused on a weekday afternoon; witnessed a customer having her order forgotten.

The Malay girl Hajar got no patient at all. She talks like I’m owe her millions of dollars. We are not there to see her frustrated face and emotions. Will never go to that store anymore. I’ll write this to their hq.

Excellent Starbucks with Starbucks Reserve. Easily my favourite Starbucks branch in sg. Drinks here are very flavourful and yummy. Place has LOTS of seats and has a very relaxing vibe. Came on a Saturday evening and lots of seats were available.

A really good spot to enjoy social/business meetings or just to get some personal work done. Waiting time can be pretty long during peak hours and you might only be limited to a 1-hour dine in period. This is the fourth Reserve outlet in Singapore - typically larger than the regular stores with an expansive menu (regular menu still available don't worry). They do carry a few exclusive merchandise as well with the Reserve logo designs. Overall decor is specially designed with intricate curvatures. Really enjoyed their Nitro Cold Brew Float. Truly one of the attractions of the new PLQ mall. Very accessible via Paya Lebar MRT station (directly integrated).
