Took up the ukulele trial lesson with my sister and my 5 years old girl last weekend. As we are new to ukulele, teacher Reuben only taught us the most basic C, F, and G chords. and focus mainly on our left hand. It's a bit challenging to my girl as her fingers are too short and she's too active to sit still; she also attempted to ask teacher Reuben to teach us how to play songs like 'Baby Shark' and Frozen songs which is quite impossible for beginners like us. He managed to engage her during the lesson while ensuring the 2 adults were able to pick up what he taught, and patiently answers our questions regarding ukulele. The Sixth String is currently having a free trial and a promotion rate of $100 for 4 lessons so it's quite worth to give it a try, especially for parents who would like to confirm the interest of their young ones.

Pretty great studio for acoustic guitar lessons. The staff are great! I'm a pretty late learner of the guitar as a working adult but my teacher Amin is pretty patient and each lesson is pretty awesome with tons to learn at a gradual pace. Would highly recommend this place to anyone young or old.

Tried their free guitar trial lesson and found the session to be very enjoyable and informative. Other than the basics of playing, the instructor extensively introduced the different families of guitars, playing styles, and learning routes, which as a musician for other instruments I found to be fascinating. Was also impressed by how the school emphasizes matchmaking students with the right instructors, a process based on what individual students are looking for in lessons. Would definitely recommend this music school to kids and adults alike. They also have a promotional package of SGD 100/- for 4 lessons, which I think is a great arrangement for those wanting to have a hands-on go at things before committing for the long term.

My 4 year old son has been learning Piano from Mrs Christine. She is very patient and delightful. Thank you for organising a fun music class for my son.

I am having a truly amazing time learning the acoustic guitar after many years of contemplation. Taking a leap of faith, I decided that it was the right time! I was assigned Nicholas, a young, knowledgeable and patient gentleman who would tailor-make lessons after understanding my strengths, weaknesses and concerns. Enrolment and registration processes were seamless and easy too. Rosalind, the lovely and amiable counter staff would take the trouble to have a quick chat with me and provide me with words of encouragement every lesson! Thanks Sixth String for keeping my interest alive. I look forward to many more future lessons.?

No issues with school staff however teacher quality is poor. Teacher has no patience to go step-by-step slowly, to show how to layer basic rhythm with more complex rhythm for student to progress. Teacher told me i need to get my basics right which I am ok. But idea of basic is just playing constant chord rhythm which I already know. Whenever teacher demos more complex rhythm, teacher does not breakdown complex pattern, or demo very very fast. I try to match but of course cannot be at that level just by eyeballing the chords played. After awhile, teacher got angry because I cannot pick up the complex rhythm and said this is just a weekend job. What teacher means is teacher’s weekends are precious time that must not be wasted on a student like me. So teachers dismiss students these days?Anyway I was also half-minded about continuing the lesson because there is zero progress and teacher has no passion to teach.

Had an enjoyable time at The Sith String music studio for a few hours. The place is new, cozy and walking distance from Commonwealth mrt. Well equipped with music instruments and systems. With the huge space, no issues to bring in profession lights and camera setup for corporate recordings. Will come back again for studio rental, highly recommended.

The staff, teachers & relief teachers here are super nice and understanding! The studio is always clean. Teacher Nicolas has been teaching my daughter for the past 6months she has learnt a lot! Nicolas is very patient & makes lessons fun and engaging for her. Thanks Nicolas!
