Bloody and bloody pricey. Chicken rice here is one of the best BUT all my family had diarrhoea after eating this over the weekend. We suspect the chicken is undercooked as it was raw and red and the bakchoy vegetables they threw into the soup really looked ROTTEN and bad - we had to throw it away. I took a pic to show what kind of veg they put in, looked like leftovers. I find their hygiene standards poor and their quality has degraded severely from years back. We eat Tian Tian chicken rice very often here and at Maxwell original stall. I hope they improve because taste wise they are still very good. Please be cleaner and better in serving clean food. It's sad if your workers do not practice good hygiene and bring your reputable household name down. The Hainanese Pork Chop is not great, deep fried overfried and really fail but thai chilli and homemade tofu was decent, not crispy, a bit spongey. Carpark is a real pain here too so do find parking further in the houses behind.

We ordered the roasted chicken rice set for 2 pax @ $11.60 and the portion given was super STINGY. For a $5.80 chicken rice you should at least expect a sizeable portion. Instead, we were greeted to a kid’s meal. (My friend and I had not enough chicken to go with our rice…) we suspected that it was because they were left to their last roasted chicken and they wanted to keep half of it and sell it to another table to make more money. As a Singaporean man of culture, chicken rice should not be treated in this manner. Hence, I plead for all self-respecting Singaporeans out there to not patronise this store.

This chicken rice place takes the lack of chicken supply to a whole new level. With their level of stinginess, a better name for this place would be tian tian cucumber rice. When we asked for breast meat, the waiter said that there it isn't available when clearly there was still chicken. We paid $11.6 for a 2 person portion that looked like it wouldn't feed a 10 year old. What's worse is that the menu had a $3.80 option for an individual plate of chicken rice and so essentially we paid an extra $2 for air. If there's one silver lining about this place is that they have a giant opaque entrance (as seen from the photo) which prevents customers from making a terrible decision. You have been warned. Trust your instincts and don't open that door. There's tang tea house down the road. Don't go hungry. Your stomach deserves better (and also some chicken).

Expensive yet mediocre. $8.60 for a plate that has extra chicken meat, including $1 just for an unimpressive egg. As you can see from the picture, $7.60 will only get you a small portion of meat. I wonder if I will get only three to four decent strips of chicken if I did not top up on meat. Meat was dry aside from portion being stingy. Rice was hard and flavour left much to be desired. Take your money to any other hawker centre chicken rice stall and save up to 50% off, unless you really need to eat chicken rice in an aircon room and donate to their rent.

Overrated and expensive. $5 for a single skinny roasted chicken wing and a butt? You can see the amount of roast chicken in the pic from the colour of the skin. ? please don’t forget to state what part of chicken you want when ordering a portion of chicken for one that does NOT include rice. Not a fan of steamed chicken but those who ate it said it was so so and the gizzard was more rubbery than it should be. The chicken macaroni also overpriced, was not piping hot when served. Can find rice that is more fragrant else where. The dish I enjoyed most was the veggie. :) Neither worth the money nor the wait. The amount of food pictured is for 3 and we managed to finish it. Had to wait about 20 min on a Sunday afternoon to dine in. Won’t be back again.

Nice food. Nice service. Chilled aircon. Clean, comfy environment. This place has been on my list ever since I’ve seen the iPhone video ad… even the staff at the counter was curious and we chatted a bit about it! Good old chicken rice topped with a braised egg and washed down with a glass of Coke Zero! And the best part … a wholesome meal for a family of 3 under 20$. What more do you want?
