Porridge is cheaper than most other stalls at Chinatown. The texture is smooth and the minced pork nice. Only thing is that there might be too much salt in the stock, for I felt quite thirsty after eating.

One of the best cantonese porridge in town and bring back childhood memories. This stall was around since the 1960s, selling at one of the back lane in Chinatown. The raw fish goes really well with the pork porridge but unfortunately they are no longer allowed to sell nowadays. Strongly recommend to try it out before they decide to call it a day! The porridge is very light adn smooth, just melt in your mouth...

Pork Porridge. Mom and Pop shop that sells only two types of porridge choices always catches my eye, this was rated decent only because of a strong competitor in Weng Kiang Kee in the same food centre.

Ordered the fish porridge. Just a traditional stall serving up the normal congee. Love how they offer table service if you are seated near their stall. Affordable price too.

This stall is run by a few old folks. They are very diligent in their preparation and cooking. The staffs are also very polite and very friendly. It is very popular with the older residents as it is traditional in taste. Variety of porridge from the traditional of mixed pork intestines porridge to minced pork porridge. Be prepared to wait during peak hour during the weekend.

Traditional porridge I have been patronising for 15 yrs. Uncle is in 80s assisted by his sisters in their 60-70s. They still provide table service despite their age. Porridge cooked to the right temperature and meat of the best texture. This consistence has been existence since I first tasted it. I love it best with chilli padi in the porridge. Unit 02-185.

Porridge taste great. Recommended for people that like charcoal smell. Minus 1 star because the serving is kinda small for a $5 order.

Happy to be able to have porridge breakfast again at Tian Tian Porridge Chinatown. The elderly chef had to undergo surgery and rested for 3 months. I started eating at Tian Tian when I was a child. They were located in a side lane along Smith Street when they first started, operated by the first generation. Currently, the second generation operating the stall are mostly over 60 years old, with the elder brother and sister about 80 years old. We normally order the minced pork porridge with sliced fish. Several years ago, we had raw fish until the government banned the serving of raw fish in eating places. The porridge was really a congee, smooth when hot. But tended to turn very “watery” when cooled down. There were few pieces of Yu Tiao, which made the congee tasted better. As I liked Yu Tiao with porridge, I would buy a fresh piping hot Yu Tiao from a neighboring stall to supplement my congee. And we would usually buy Chee Cheong Fun from another neighboring stall 多多 to eat with our porridge meal. By the way, 多多is another popular stall with long queue, also operated by second generation. So eating at Tian Tian Porridge(天天)and 多多 Chee Cheong Fun had been our weekend ritual for more than 20 years. Not so sure their respective third generations would be taking over, so just enjoy the ”old food” when still available.
