Ate a Ang Ku Kueh with ground peanut filling last night. Was told it was made a couple of hours ago. But it looked and tasted fresh. Its skin is elastic but soft. The peanut is evenly ground and its sweetness is just right. I like this dessert.

The kueh is really delicious! Very tender skin & the right amount of sweetness for the fillings inside. Many people sell kueh but this is one of the few stores that have nice ones!

I personally do not fancy Kuehs, but when my sister-in-law bought some of their Kuehs for us to try last wk, I instantly fell in love with the sweet potato Ang Ku Kueh and I thought I should give a review. The skin is chewy; the filling was not overly sweet and suits my tastebud to the T. I have heard that some Ang Ku Kueh, when left outside for too long, or eat them the next day, the skin becomes harden alittle, but this, according to my sister-in-law (whose a Ang Ku Kueh lover), still maintain its chewiness. So if you happened to be around Tiong Bahru Hawker, do drop by and pick up some to give it to try. ?

Sad that it was not like before. The Peanut Ang Ku Kueh was overnight ones. Skin was hard & dry, peanut super sweet. $1 per piece.

Very unique taste and recipe from Tiong Bahru Teochew Kueh. Was my first time visiting the store and being a non-kueh person, was able to enjoy the authentic handmade kuehs! Skin was very tender and the owner is also kind enough to explain the history of this traditional business which has been around for over 50 years! Definitely recommend, especially the new healthier choice kuehs featuring the color of the year with creative ingredients :)
