★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Heard about this new unagi place at vivo City. Saw quite a few websites promoting the cheap $12.90 Una Rice set and decided to try.
Restaurant was full and we were offered a table outdoors. But there was no fan and with heat from the sun, we decided to pass and wait instead.
Waited for around 20 mins for our table. During the wait, realised that the restaurant was a bit short handed ..
Only 1 chef at the grill preparing the Unagi and other grilled dishes and another preparing the other food, such as sushi and rolls.
Looking at the menu, we decided to order the Medium unagi hitsumabushi which cost $16.90.
The portion was okay and if we have ordered the small one at 12.90, it would probably be too small.
First taste.. and was disappointed.
The rice was too cook and lumpy and the unagi was a bit soft too.
Was expecting standard close to Man Man but this was way too far off.
Good for cheap Unagi but don't expect it to be fantastic.
Maybe will go back for other dishes when they are not so busy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ They should have placed a sign saying please order Unagi only. Everything else will be a disappointment. The chicken tasted funny, the salmon sashimi, raw or roasted, either was not cold or was not hot. The ramune tasted like panadol. The unagi however, i will return for it. I had the half portion and it was not enough. I will return for the full portion. Highly recommeded for the unagi only.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ New store .. managed to immediately get a table at 1140am during weekend. Had to wait 20 odd min before the food come. The unagi is definitely not as good as other branches .. portion is quite little too. The rice is just too soft n mushy. The chawanmushi taste really bad. The service standards will need to be worked on too. Currently do note there’s no CC payment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1st time visit, waiting Q around 40mins+. The unagi rice are delicious and grill squid also not bad. Staff are friendly but the service can be improve.
Overall are good, will visit again.

They only accept cash or digital transfer. No credit card payment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Overall a nice place to dine in. Food is good and reasonably priced. Things that I hope can be improved would be to include online ordering system as outdoor seat patrons like myself can only place our order when the staff come out from the indoor serving area. Another point to note would be currently they don’t accept credit card payment.
