Tried their lunch promo. Ordered the Duke Donburi. Interesting use of mint leaves for the sashimi as it could help to lessen the greasyness. Comes with a cup of green tea and soup.

I come here only for the fresh sashimi. Service staff did not really know how to recommend the fresh fish offering. The easy go to order dish is they recommend is the sashimi platter which is the go-to dish here. $39 for 9 type sashimi platter (if u had bought alcohol). Ordered the iwashi sashimi but there were bones in the fish. Chef not much skill here in the fish slicing. Food was overall average at reasonable prices. I am OK with the $4 otoshi but I really think it's BS if restaurants enforce this especially if the otoshi is not very tasty. Also clients shld be informed about the tap water charge. Its not a big deal but this reflects poorly on the restaurant owner on charging for tap water especially when someone orders beer and sake.

This place is very close to a proper izakaya. The snack charge, the encouragement of buying drinks are all very normal izakaya experiences. The sashimi here is really good. Get the sashimi moriawase set, then ask for the remaining head that the set is initially presented with to be made into a soup. It's a very interesting experience and much rarer to find. Get some friends who likes drinks and sashimi and it'll be a pleasent experience Definitely underrated

Date of visit : 12 & 21 Sep, 2021 A neighbourhood izakaya we pass by many times and thought we give it a try walk-in. Both visits, Sunday and Tuesday - all freshly imported fishes were sold out and left with only selection of 6 types sashimi platter. Shoutout for :- ?? mehikari tempura - must order if avail ?? umezuke kyuri ?? deep fry the bones from sashimi platter (request for it though it was a hit first time and soggy 2nd visit) ??sake you are familiar with Skip :- ?? grilled fish (regular items on the pictorial menu) - According to the waitstaff, they come in a packet pre-seasoned and it was so salty ?? sashimi platter (when the freshly imported fish are out of stock). Will give it one more try when the fresh produce is in. Service staff were friendly but not trained at all in Japanese cuisine nor their menu to provide recommendation except what’s not available. The edamame was a compulsory order at $4 was the tasteless like a result of over boiling without sweetness nor light sprinkle of salt. Do check their FB page to know when fresh produce is in. I do like the promo price on the menu that comes with order of beer for everyone on the table.

Better Japanese food places in the vicinity for sure! Food quality: Passable fish, sauces, green tea. Salmon poke donburi had lots of onions which can be unpleasant to those who don’t like it, the sauces seemed to stand out contrastingly against the salmon. Food portion / Price: Around $10++/more per dish during lunch, and more during dinner. Crowd: Empty on weekend lunch and more lively over dinner. Payment: Credit card. Cash not accepted.

The oysters are big and yummy. Sashimi platter a bit disappointing for its selection… no octopus or squid. Cooked food average.

You get quite exotic fishes you wont really try in other fish marts, rather fresh and great vibes. Almost everyone there serving you is a Japanese. Do give their sashimi platter a try and request for the left over bones and heads to be done in a miso soup to end the meal with warm stomachs.

Reservation is a must. Was fully booked and not available for walk-in when we arrived at 6.45pm for our reservation. Appetizer charge $4 per pax. The Edamame is kinda pathetic but the rest is good. The price is decent. Sashimi platter and some food items are at disc price if customer ordered alcoholic drink. Overall food charges and taste are OK. Sashimi is fresh and chicken karaage is large serving. Without the discount the sashimi is at good price!
