Venue Hotel - 305 Joo Chiat Rd

Walls were sticky, there was no window and the room smelled funny. Floor felt dirty and mirror was not clean too. Overall will never stay there again, NOT worth it even for the low price. Spend a bit more and go somewhere nicer please.

Beautiful interior and exterior. The standard double room has a huge mirror and the bed is on a wooden platform. The bathroom is small and can be better taken care of. Some of the lights needs repair but the essential lights works. For a night’s stay, it was a good experience.

Stayed here for my vacation to visit my lovely girlfriend. The service was nice, the room was rather small but served its purpose. Positives: Helpful staff Room service cleaned room really well Room served its purpose Negatives: No toilet paper provided, had to buy my own. Room was small/tight, especially when I had my girlfriend over. Smoke smell permeated room Ants were seen on the counter tops Room service didn't clean room one night even though I left card om door knob for the room to be cleaned. Room service incessantly rang door bell when I was sleeping early in the morning.

tldr; ANTS EVERYWHERE, SMOKE SMELL, DIRTY, POOR ROOM SERVICE. Don't trust the 3.7 star review this place has, a lot of them are fake bot reviews. Rooms do NOT look like the pictures at all. Positives: -Free water bottles everytime you ask at the desk. Negatives: -Room smelled strongly of cigarettes. Asked for another room, and it still smelled like cigarettes. The hallways reek of smoke as well. - Leaky toilet and ants in our second room so we asked for a third room. Third room still had ants all over the desk. On our second day we also discovered that there were ants in the mattresses and on the sheets. -You can hear everything from other nearby rooms through the old vents so it's tough to sleep at night. -Mattresses are just on the ground which didn't help with the ant problem. -Room service rings your loud doorbell at 8:30 am. They'll ask to clean your room and if you tell them later, they don't come back. -They don't replace towels or fill up toilet paper. -Showers don't stay hot for more than five minutes. After that, the water will be cold.

Professional and friendly receptionists who was patient in helping us with our questions and requests. Beautiful lobby. The room we stayed in was basic, but had everything we needed. Booked it with sgrediscovery voucher so I can't comment on the value. Overall a pleasant experience!

Room is small but clean and cozy. Location was amazing. ( couple doors away from GIANT, 24hours supermarket and plenty of food around! ) Hot water works well and the aircon is powerful which is a blessing on such a hot and humid country.
