Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong, an IHG Hotel

Great hotel. It was so easy to get here from the airport, we took a number 36 bus and it was about a two minute walk from the bus stop. Buses into the city ran from just along the road outside the hotel. Lots of places to eat nearby. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable, a bit of a strange layout but it added to the charm. Lovely choices for breakfast. All the staff we met were so friendly and helpful. Our only disappointment was that the water in the pool was cold, so we didn’t use it. We would be very happy to stay here again.

Was looking for a place for a combined birthday celebration for my wife and me and decided to try hotel indigo Katong .. wow. From the get go, reservation staff were outstandingly warm and welcoming to answer questions and small requests made for our birthdays. This level of service was consistent throughout our stay, from check-in, till we (disappointedly) stepped out of the hotel after our stay. The rooms were really lovely, and full of character (reflecting the local vibes of the community). The shower and bath were excellent (we highly recommend having the rooms with bath tub). The pool on the roof offers a lovely view over the Katong neighbourhood. Overall it was a very pleasant stay and we sincerely appreciated the little ways the hotel went out of their way to make our stay a very memorable one.

We had stayed at the Holiday Inn next door several times and always promised ourselves an upgrade in the future. Well 2020 was the upgrade and we are more than happy with our decision. The decor of the ground floor reception and the excellent staff were always welcoming and ever helpful. The rooms are quirky, well equipped and clean. For those staying long periods some of the artistic touches get in the way of storage needs but I do understand that most visitors only stay a few days. There are plenty of excellent eating places nearby but the dedicated and attached Baba Chews is good value in itself.

The hotel is decorated in the local style and is very pretty. The rooms are very spacious with comfortable beds and the pillows are fantastic. The rooms and all other areas of the hotel are kept spotlessly clean. The rooftop pool is a great are and usually a quiet peaceful hideaway. By far the best thing is the staff. They are all so friendly polite and cheerful. Nothing is too much trouble and they are always happy to help in any way they can. A great hotel with amazing staff and I would highly recommend this hotel.

This hotel delivers in many areas, our room was delightful, the layout terrific with a great view, the shower and separate toilet area was really nice. The roof top pool was lovely and fitness center perfect for our athletic family. The staff was always helpful, neighborhood nice and if you are a walker you can easily walk to subway while enjoying the neighborhood. Also easy to get to the beach! We stayed 7 nights and enjoyed the stay.

I personally love this outdoor pet-friendly pop-up garden at Hotel Indigo! A laidback environment to chill with family or friends. My daughter & I a wonderful mother daughter bonding time enjoying small bites with drinks! The french cheese platter was my daughter's favourite. Other than cheese, there are grapes too! I personally love Calamari alot. It's perfectly done with lots of flavours from the toppings. There were fans & cooler fans around the garden too. Thou the weather was really hot, we wasn't affected as it was quite cooling with the fans blowing at us. If it rains, u can actually sit inside the restaurant (if u do not have pets along). Overall a nice chill out place for family & friends! Life in SG is fast paced & can be hectic.. it's hard to find a place w such laidback feel. I really appreciate the hotel for creating this cosy little corner for guest!

I just wanna talk about their pet cafe which is located behind their hotel。 it’s not even pet or human friendly because there is no fan nor cooler only a huge brolly as shade。 As our weather here is either rain ☔️ or shine and it can get very hot for pets and humans to be outdoors . pet dogs could suffer from heat stroke since there’s no fan nor cooler . and what happens when it rains ？ well , good luck to , you!! You and your pet will be drench wet and no ! Hotel Indigo doesn’t allow u and your pet into the hotel lobby when it rains. u either continue to stay at the so-called pet friendly outdoor cafe in the rain or go home.My friend booked this so called pet friendly cafe thinking it was really a pet friendly cafe on sunday. when she reach there, .. to her horror there’s no fan and no cooler and it started to pour .. my friend ask the staff what can they do as the guests are arriving soon. they told her nothing we can do . My friend had her two dogs with her and ask to allow her and her dogs to be sheltered from the rain. . They rejected her and say, no dogs are allowed inside the hotel not even outside the sheltered lobby. My friend ask what should she do now and they replied hee by saying , oh u can cancel your reservation. My friend started calling us one by one telling us it’s raining and the entire place is flooded and wet and we are not allow in the hotel not even the lobby.. so i told her to go else where that is really pet friendly.. glad she found one nearby with shelter away from the rain and they even provide water bowl for pets.. what a relief..When the rain stops.Hotel Indigo staff called my friend and ask if she would like to continue with her reservation as the rain has stopped!! i look at my friend shock and told her to just say no! why would would we wanna go back to Hotel indigo cafe for? the place is all wet from the rain. where would our pets sit? on the soggy wet grass or on their wet cushions? and we had already ordered our food.. it’s really strange. I think the only pet friendly hotel in Singapore i know so far is Hilton International Hotel and the Four seasons hotel. Anyway, glad we know this Hotel Indigo pet friendly isn’t actually a pet friendly cafe instead it’s more like a dog run.
