Did not read the reviews here but was attracted by all the posters at the stall. Cantonese speaking elderly couple man this stall, the big prawns were sold out, so were those $5 ones. Was told only $10 portion left. Bought one portion to try. The prawns were medium sized sliced half lengthwise. Soup was radish base, tasted like ABC soup with a little seafood tinge. Glad it was not spiked with MSG. Noodles were in chilli paste with soy and garlic, spiked with pork lard. There were 2 limp strands of vegetable and nothing else. If you are expecting prawn noodles like other famous contenders, this is different and overpriced. Will not patronize this stall again although I liked the soup.

Really heavenly prawn noodles! Despite the high price point, the quality of food was excellent and the prawns were super fresh. Soup was rather nice, and it’a different from other prawn noodle soups

The old lady owner was bossy but meant well so don't let her turn you off. The real knock-out was the 10in giant prawn version. The soup was heavenly with roe from the prawn and the meat was so tender. The giant prawn is not standard offering and need to ask if available - $35 per order.

Wah Kee Big Prawn Noodles at Pek Kio market is willing to sell without noodles only for the big prawn bowls. Excellent control of fire for the big prawns, worth a special treat for the price of $15. Sweetness of the soup comes from prawn heads and garlic; sugar is minimal. And for the carb eaters, pls just go for the big prawns orders. That is their speciality and that is when they give good service. Auntie even gave me extra soup to tabao home when I complimented her soup. #lazyMsKeto #lowcarb #lowcarblifestyle #lowercarbSingapore #lowcarbSG #keto #ketoSG #diabeticlifestyleSG

Before coming here (for the 1st time), I read many reviews talking about how rude this lady boss is. I was certainly not disappointed! She did her usual to shoo me to wait behind the red line on the floor even though there was no queue. I silently complied and when it’s my turn, I told her I want the $25 bowl. Her tone immediately changed. After handing over my food, she even said “enjoy your breakfast ah!” So tip number 1 - don’t expect top service if u are here for $5/$10 servings. The prawn noodles were not the best I had but the prawns were fresh and the soup is unique. I’ll still give them five stars. I must say, Singaporeans can be quite hypocritical. We can afford hundred-dollar Michelin star meals and wait months for a reservation or queue hours in line, but when an elderly woman at a hawker shows some attitude, our ego is hurt and we give them poor reviews…. Sad

If I am nearby I will come over and get the $15 prawn noodles. Of course need to face the aunty also! :) but don’t worry she’s very friendly if you chat with her. A pity is that I never get to try the smaller bowl because it’s always out of stock. I just love the garlicky soup and the noodles. I still prefer their style. I would very much give a 4.5 star mainly because of the waiting time and due to the soup is very flavourful. Your first few mouth is like heaven subsequently will be slightly bland. Previously they had a branch bistro at Esplanade, I will head there weekly and the soup and noodles there are amazing and consistently best of all no queue. But sadly has closed down. Aunty didn’t tell me much about it and ask me to come and eat here instead but I told her the queue ahh. Cannot ah ?. Miss the prawn soup already. Will be gg tomorrow :)

Used to rave about this place and patronize their restaurant at esplanade often. I don’t know if it is the economy or inflation. Even the $10 portion looks really little and the upselling of the “attitude” doesn’t work on me. It just doesn’t taste that good anymore. I’ll rather spend the $10 $15 or $25 somewhere like Beach Road Prawn noodles. Will not come back again.

Hands-down one of the worst prawn noodles I’ve had. I thought the only thing I had to tolerate was the aunty’s poor attitude, but the bland broth was equally bad. Decided to give the $5 bowl a shot as we’ve already ordered other dishes to try - 3 pieces of prawns and soup that frankly tasted like it came from a fishball noodle stall. FYI - their big prawns only come at $15, $20 and $25 prices. I’ll recommend you to check out Loyang Big Prawn Noodle or Big Prawn Noodle at Compassvale instead - better quality and definitely better service.
