Xin Heng Kee is known to offer plates that are super value for money. A plate of chicken rice I ordered had a great ratio of chicken meat to rice for only $3 (2018). Whether it’s roasted/boiled chicken, braised duck or roast pork, you can get something that doesn’t even put a dent in your wallet. But of course, it tastes good as well!

My favourite stall at Pek Kio Market! Delicious chicken rice

I have always been surprised and perplexed that this stall always has a long queue whenever I’m at Pek Kio market. As I always went there for the prawn mee, I never paid much attention to this stall apart from the queue. However I decided to try out the food over the weekend as I was too hungry to wait for the prawn noodle and the queue for this stall was decidedly shorter for once hahaha. The chicken rice was good, not oily but flavourful. The meat was succulent and tender but not fatty and oily. The texture of the chicken skin was so good!!! And oh, they serve a killer punch chilli sauce!!! Recommended!!

This is pretty good chicken rice. Very succulent chicken meat. I was at Pek Kio at 915am for bf and the Q was about 5 pax and decided to have chicken rice for bf. :P From what I observe , the Q never ends!

An unassuming stall nestled in Pek Kio market. The rice is flavourful without being oily. The meats are nicely roasted and always look very inviting when the stall opens at 730ish am (owners wakes up at 3am for preparation). The taste is simple and comforting. Not those fancy chatterbox or boon tong kee kind. The taste Reminds me of my school days.

Xin Heng Kee Chicken/Duck Rice #01-14 (Pek Kio Market n Food Centre). Only SGD$5 for two meals (my usual Monday brunch)—only beloved stall holders of Xin Heng Kee stall know what I want. The best of many things in the food world on this plate, prepared with love.

Love this chicken rice! Although it is not the best I have eaten, I will still give it 5 star rating. The stall owners are very friendly, the price is reasonably low. Highly recommended!

This is a lovely chicken rice stall in pek kio market that sells delicious chicken rice at a very nice price. So the slogan can be 'nice price chicken rice'. You won't get better value than this...you can fill yourself up for $3, it's like a step back in time! You won't have to put up with lousy parking and crazy prices anymore (cough cough chicken house cough cough) for your chicken rice fix!
