Waterfall Ristorante Italiano - Level One

Took the queen for a love birthday dinner. Shang & Waterfall did not disappoint. We’ve eaten takeaway in the room and the food was solid for “takeaway” so decided to try a proper sit down meal. Very relaxed setting with dimmed lights and a casual feel to a hotel environment. Really enjoyed the warm bread & cold tomato dipping sauce. Little sprinkles of salt on the bread nice touch (1) Burrata & prosciutto solid starter for two to share. Creamy burrata & prosciutto wasn’t dry and had good flavour. (2) I must say this was an expensive bowl of mushroom soup but it was the best I’ve had. Full of mushroom flavour with hints of truffle. Could be a little too much for some but you can share :) if you like and highly recommended get the top up foie gras in a side pan which was great with the bread & soup (3) Tried the truffle carbonara because of special seasonal offerings. Wasn’t great for the price. Truffle didn’t have much flavour or smell and the carbonara was barely ok. Saw another review saying it wasn’t great and have to agree. Lacking general flavour (4) Mouth full to pronounce but best to learn because you’ll order this again. Rigatoni All’Amatricinana ! We were given this by mistake when we ordered takeaway and completely love this. The general mixture of flavours is fantastic to a gentle tomato base with hints of basil and pork Too full for dessert but the restaurant was nice enough to surprise us with a mini cake. I totally judge F&B places If they know about a special event and don’t act on it. Little effort to comp a small cake / a drink even and this goes a long way. Thank you Shang & Waterfall. We will definitely be back <3

A decent restaurant within Shangri-la hotel and it's right by the pool. Before commenting on the food I must say the staff and level of service was outstanding. Never felt like I needed to fight to get the attention of a waiter as they were always around, yet i was not disturbed during my meal. On to the food now. The bread basket was pretty good, actually enjoyed it. Soft squishy bread that went well with the tomato dip. Unfortunately, the mushroom soup and foie gras was a little disappointing. The foie gras came cold, so nothing much left to say. The mushroom soup had a good texture but lacked a good strong mushroom flavor. I suspect the mushrooms weren't sweat enough in the pan to build that deep mushroom taste before being blended. However, the gnocchi definitely saved the day! As a signature dish it did it's job. It had a garlic tomato cream base with a dash of tarragon if I'm not mistaken. Worked very well with the prawns. Would have given the place 3 stars if not for this dish!

We booked the place for two adults and two kids, services were good, sufficient staff, and they were very attentive but not disruptive. A good place for a family to chill, even with an infant, I could lay my four months old on the sofa. We ordered two set lunches, a kids meal and two drinks. The set lunches even come with coffee or tea. The main I ordered, rigatoni all amatriciana, is shown below. The handmade pasta was cooked to al-dente, and the flavour is spot on. The burrata's portion is very generous, although we need to top up a bit. In general, it is a great place for Italian food in Singapore. Would go back again. I paid sgd176 for the meal.

Great authentic restaurant inside Shangri-La hotel Singapore. Service is very good, food is fresh and taste is good except the linguine was a bit too salty on the day we visited. Menu is special especially the pizza calzone. Reservations are highly recommended.

Italian restaurant inside the hotel. Initially, we did have some difficulties finding the direction to the restaurant. Thankfully, we just had to follow the signs. The staffs were attentive and the services rendered were excellent. The food was great. Both our pastas were flavourful. And the serving portion was just sufficient. Not forgetting the bread served, as starter, was soft and nice. Overall it was a great experience. And would definitely come back to try other items.

Excellent customer service, and a true great-pick for families with young children! Kids get complimentary coloring sets, paper and it kept my three year old very entertained. Food wise, we enjoyed the pastas tremendously and can only lament that the meal ended way too soon. Vongole was beautifully done and kids’ meal (no photo sadly) was so delicious. Will surely revisit when we go to Shangri-la hotel again!

Well located in the sprawling, landscaped grounds of Shangri-La, Waterfall is our top-of-mind restaurant for Italian food, whether dining in the cozy, air-conditioned interiors or more casually at the sheltered terrace. Combining the restful ambience with good food, attentive service and friendly company provide relief in our ever increasing stressful lives. For 3 hours, my wife and I enjoyed the South Italian cuisine headed by Chef Marco and his chefs. The lively chatters and laughters of diners were testimonies of the restaurant's popularity. Food quality is good. The extensive menu has something for everyone.

Good customer service and attentive service. Food quality is okay but I do feel that taste could have improve for the pizza.. didn’t like the Ham and wild rocket together as it lack of certain seasoning to blend the taste together. Will recommend for business lunch or dinner.. nice place to chill. Wine was good too.
