★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A small eatery that is located just opposite Redhill MRT station and underneath a HDB block. It specialises in chicken dishes in various styles including Hainanese, cutlet, char siew and curry. The Hainanese chicken rice was very tasty but was a little too expensive ($4.50 for a normal plate). It will be great if they stop using disposable cups for dine-in and accept e-payment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Packed home for dinner half a white chicken, vegetables, wanton, gizzard and hard boiled braised eggs. The meat was tender. No frills comfort food. Taste good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Location: Just a 2-3min walk from Redhill mrt. Place is cooling despite a hot Sunday, natural air flow and non aircon is a reminisce of the good old malaysia Coffeeshop setting. Place is clean and adheres to safe distancing with all the panels and separation.
Kopi and teh are solid, unlike some places that tastes so watered down u might as well just order blue mountain.
The Hainanese White chicken - it has the quintessential 3mm thick white juicy skin, tender, qq and succulent kampung chicken. Together with the decor, u might feel u r somewhere in Malaysia having authentic chicken rice watching the chickens run ard.
The brown chicken - not dry like some places that uses recycled overnight chicken (if u know what I mean). So tender and fresh, it possibly put tenderfresh to shame.
Char siew chicken - this caught me by surprise, possibly the most Creative dish that I have tried in sg since the advent of salted egg fish skin. Sweet char siew sauce marinated with fresh chicken is just simply, sky shirt without sewing (天衣无缝)
The garlicky chilli - it’s like the perfect condiment for the 3 chickenteers. It coalesce with the chickens to form the ultimate taste like the $36 opulent mandarin Orchard chicken rice but at 1/6 of the price.
To conclude, despite ur taste bud for sweet, salty, spicy, original or crispy version of chicken rice, this place have it all under one roof. Oh and did I add the refillable chicken leg, peanut soup that comes together with the set? This place brings the definition of lah Kopi and chicken rice to a Michelin star level.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Some hits and some misses.
Hits : chicken rice with steamed chicken as well as roasted chicken. Curry chicken noodles with a light curry sauce.
Misses : macaroni soup was a little tasteless, char siew chicken ramen didn’t really work for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tender chicken thigh, good flavour, good serving.
5.50 for chicken charsiew ramen
Good serving of meat but soup was too salty
4.50 for chicken congee ( NOT the shredded chicken )
Not bad. Tender chicken thigh , I forgot to ask for no bones Tho. Comes w ginger on the top and I asked for soup which the server willingly gave.
Overall, a very homely place. Clean and worth the visit.
Would recommend to try chicken rice ( thigh meat ).
The soup that comes w the meal is really nice too but it differs from day to day. I like it when it comes w the peanut soup.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ $5 for a plate of chicken rice with drumstick and soup is acceptable but is not my kind of chicken rice. Will not come back here again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Opened on 12 September 2020 and was given a $2 voucher for a plate of chicken rice.
Ordered a plate of steamed chicken (breast meat) rice and it was good. The usual price was $4.50 and I would say that the proportion in terms of meat and rice would had been the same if you “upsize” your chicken rice at the neighborhood kopitiam. The soup is peanut-based (not sure if it will change) so careful if you have allergy. Chilli is hot and spicy as it should rightfully be.
I love the deco and the cleanliness of this standalone restaurant. They even provide utensils disinfectant in packet form for those hygiene freaks if you want to disinfect them further.
Radio was on love 97.2 so good for those who enjoy chinese music (although I would prefer k-pop or dub step but that’s my personal preference).
Place is well-ventilated with even an air-disinfectant machine (+1 again for hygiene). There are enough sitting for at least 20 pax comfortably in the COVID-19 safe distancing era although I gotta say that plastic divider is pretty useless since no stranger would likely share a table so close to each for the table for four.
Besides chicken rice, they have other varieties as well such as curry chicken noodle, shredded chicken congee and chicken char siew ramen to name a few.
Thumbs up. ?
Will definitely be back to check this place again to try the other dishes.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Their steamed chicken rice is 10/10. Portions are generous, chicken is tender and juicy, rice is flavorful, chili is perfect, and price is affordable.
Their dumpling soup is also a must-try! I’ve ordered this via food delivery multiple times and they have been 100% consistent. A must try if you live around the area, or if you are looking for the best chicken rice in Singapore.
I don’t understand why some reviewers are complaining about the price. If you are expecting to pay $2 for chicken rice, you’ll likely get $2 chicken rice standard and should just go somewhere else.
