Xiao Long Kan Hotpot (Bedok) - 208D New Upper Changi Rd

Service, ambience and food presentation is good but a pity that their soup has a very strong gamy taste (cos they use beef fats). Even my clothes and bag smells 'beefy' after dinner.

I generally had a great experience there. The food and staff were great. More details below: Soup base Soup base was great (I tried the pork bone and Mala ones). The pork bone soup base was an absolute delight and the Mala soup base would be popular among Mala lovers. Even xiao la was quite spicy. Even though we ate there for quite a long while, the soup did not become more bland over time, as is common with most hotpot places. Variety of Ingredients More than just the soup base, they also had a wide variety of ingredients that are not found in other hotpot places, such as frog leg or pigs' brain etc. Staff I was also impressed with the hospitality of their staff. The staff i met was friendly and helpful, and you feel like you are engaging a friend rather than a random waiter/waitress.

One of my favourite authentic Chinese hotpot restaurants! Authentic robust and fragrant hotpot with fresh ingredients. Prices are cheaper than XX捞 and service staff were attentive and friendly. I’d come here anytime over XX捞 as I feel that XX捞 standards have drastically dropped compared to their early days.

Came here on the 27 February evening. The hotpot and dishes will served almost immediately after ordering through the iPad. The soup here still taste thick even after cooking many different dishes. For the similar pricing as compare to Haidilao, the portion here is serve way bigger. Lack of service as compare to Haidilao. Definitely be back here for their portion of food but Haidilao for the service.

If i could give this place more than 5 stars (i would) - One of the better authentic Chinese hotpot restaurants! ingredient are always fresh. Prices are affordable and cheaper than other chain hotpot restaurant. I want to highlight especially on the service - The staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful . Most-Valuable-Player MVP award goes to the manager or the boss (Man who is not in uniform) - he is one of the reasons why we go back so often. He is extremely friendly and makes all of us feels at home - treat all his customers like his friends and going beyond what is required to make us all feel at home Keep it up and i hope this standard will remain! Highly recommend anyone who has never been there to go and try this place.

Had hotpot for late dinner at 10pm. Food was great, staff was really nice but the entire dining experience was shortchanged bc they are so overwhelmed & soaked entirely running around, 1 kitchen staff 1-2 service staff for the entire restaurant…….. which resulted in long wait time for table food. Didn’t wait for our dessert in the end. Management should seriously look into staffing issue -1 star for this

One of my favourite place for mala hot pots . Brought my parents to experience the spicy hot pot after many great experiences at the bugis outlet. As it's was a Friday night I decided to go to the Bedok outlet instead as we do not want to fight over the crowd at bugis . The biggest downside at this outlet compared to bugis was the staff service was bad , super not attentive , no top up of soup (until called) , some of the items food quality there is not really up to the standard and they basically can't be bothered at time to serve us . They didn't even sever us fruits after our dinner which the bugis outlet always do . Thing to take note - TRY NOT to sit near the toilet/kitchen area . At one point while we're eating half way, there was a funny smelly smell coming out from that area which was kind of appetite spoiler. Overall I will not be back to this outlet anymore , I would much prefer the bugis outlet where staff is more welcoming and attentive.

Since their competitor removed the beef butter mala pot I will always choose to eat here over there. I think if you’re looking for a more authentic Sichuan hotpot place to go to, try here instead. The soup base is flavourful and spicy and the variety of dishes are great. Staff has always been friendly and helpful so I’m not sure what the others are on about. Been here many times and will continue to do so.
