As a branch of the legendary Old Airport Lor Mee, I have very high expectations of this place. To be honest, I have not been to the Old Airport main branch in many years so no grounds of comparison and review it by itself. For the Lor Mee, sauce is good and tasty. I ordered a big bowl and it is very generous in servings. However, the fish is a bit too big chunks and dry, which I would prefer if they tear it down to smaller pieces to be more coated with the sauce. As for the prawn crackers, flour is too dense and no surprise - would give it a pass. All in all, would come back again next time I have a Lor Mee craving.

Decent bowl of Lor Mee with good consistency of flavor. Prices are reasonable at $6 for a normal bowl and $8 for a large bowl. Nice air-conditioned modern decor compared to what you would expect from traditional hawker centers. I would say the Lor Mee here is above average but hardly as memorable as the one at Circuit road or Tiong Bahru, but overall worth a try!

Delicious bowl of Lor Mee with smattering mix of spiciness and garnishes! Layers of complex flavours complementing the chunks of Lor Ba and Fish! Should really pair well with a chilled glass of Albarino! Will definitely visit again.

Lor Mee or braised broth noodle is a personal favourite since my childhood days when my parents bring me to savour some of the best stalls in Singapore. Fast forward to today, the recent two weeks I had been on a hunt to recollect some of the best Lor Mee in Singapore. Plenty of disappointments I shall not list among the highly rated stalls, but the OG did not disappoint. At first I was worried if the branch take would be very different from the Old Airport OG stall, which I dislike due to uncovered parking, messy layout of the hawker centre. Also I do not quite like the new location at Balestier in general as it is a very busy road with little parking. Yet as I navigate myself to the location, I was pleasantly surprised there was ample parking (though also uncovered) nearby. The shop. Modern and airy, plenty of seats and the best part, no queue at 11am pre peak lunch hour. Easy ordering system, buzzer given and no waiting in line. $6 or $8, air con environment, seem fair. Normal $6 and a home made drink (I think?) Picked up my order before I can take more pictures of the lovely eatery and tucked in, itadakimas! It is a sight to behold. The lovely thick slices of fish, the pork belly. Both a must in my book for Lor Mee. And the thick broth did not disappoint. Good soy sauce and braised pork umami. Yummy good ratio of fat to lean ratio in the tasty Lor Bak or braised pork belly, though it's still a notch below Hainanese Curry Rice's braised pork. Still it hits the spot here. The fish flakes and slices were fresh, tasty and blended well with the noodles. And two halves of a braised egg. Flat yellow noodles, the OG Lor Mee carb were well executed, Al dente with a good bite, chewy and well coated. They were indeed generous with the ingredients and the $6 portion filled me up nicely. An hour later I am still burping garlicky umami. Zero MSG tingling here. All good bowl of Low Mee! My only gripe if any, is the sour plum drink is a tat on the steep side and too sweet. Luckily they gave me a cup of ice to go with at no charge, dilute it down a little. A mental note, Next visit not going for this drink

This is an evolution of successful hawker stalls into full fledged eatery. Prices start from $6 for the regular bowl which is filled with a braised egg, pork belly, and chunky fish meat. The braise sauce has a good sticky consistency without being overly gooey, and will anyway thin as you tuck into the bowl. For a dollar more to dine in comfort and no need to brave the queue at old airport road, I think it is worth it.

Very sumptuous gravy with lovely pieces of marinaded pork. The pieces of fish are significantly larger than any other Lor Mee stalls out there. Very generous serve of minced garlic on the side. So if you don't like garlic, be sure to let them know.

This stall is my favourite Lor Mee stall in Singapore! The noodle are so flavourful with plenty of ingredients in the bowl, such as pork, garlic and an egg. The portion are quite large and they give a generous amount of fish as well. Overall a really great bowl of Lor Mee and definitely recommend!

Absolutely delicious! I knew about this place from Food King. Ryan always praises the Xin Mei Xiang Lor Mee at Old Airport Rd. Today is my first time trying it and I think it does deserve the praise. Strong flavours of vinegar, the braised sauce and chopped garlic. As someone who enjoys such intense flavours, I absolutely loved it. It came also with generous amounts of fried fish and fatty 三层肉. For $6, I think it is relatively affordable and worth buying again!
